The hotel and the people who work there are very friendly. The room were nice and clean. There is a very good poolbar and it is very close to the center and the beach.
We came 1 night earlier than planned and the hotel arranged a room for us anyway.

Just back from our third holiday in Agios Prokopios. This time we stayed 16 nights at Hotel Katerina, which is the best hotel we have stayed at in Prokopios. Great location, rooms cleaned every day, clean towels every day, warm and welcoming atmosphere. The shower had lots of hot water at any time. AC in both rooms, very well working. There is siesta in the hotel from 3-6 every afternoon, which means everything is nice and quiet. The children could use the pool - but without screaming! Giorgios and his sister are sweet, helpful people who run a very nice and well kept hotel, the standard of this hotel is just great! Next time we go back to Agios Prokopios we will definately stay at Katerina again!

This was our 2. stay and once again we were very satisfied. I can hardly add anything to the superlatives, that others have written, as to the friendliness and standart. Especially we like, that there are no noisy funktions near by - we like the unusually well-assorted breakfast, and this year we liked the airconditioning, as alternative to open windows at night: it was a moskito-year (and nature you can't change).
We were at a stay, arranged by Apollo.

Close to town & beach. The room was clean with full sized fridge and small cooking hob, the room was of good size with small balcony. We paid three Euro extra for breakfast which was tea or coffee and a couple slices of bread and a slice of cake you have breakfast in the garden next to the pool. Fair sized swimming pool which was very clean. The air con was a must as it was hot at night. Paros was a lovely island wished we stayed longer. Its ten minutes walk to the beach so no sea views from the hotel.

We booked this hotel last summer, due to planning a tight schedule of Greek island hopping and wanting a firm schedule set well in advance. I was a bit hesitant about selecting the hotel as only a few reviews had been posted, but after checking the hotels main website, we felt that it would be a good choice for us.

As it turned out, this hotel was wonderful and far better than we expected. I would have no hesitation staying here again and would recommend it to friends.

We arrived at Naxos via ferry from Paros and picked up a taxi from Naxos Port. Cost E10 direct to hotel and Journey took about 10 mins. Note the local bus station is also at the Port and the buses to Agios Prokopios run every 30 mins at a cost of about E1.40 each. Buses are like national express coaches here and can take luggage.

Location

The hotel could not be more conveniently located. In my opinion it has the best location of most of the hotels in the area. It is tucked down a small lane directly opposite the beach and the beach, main bus stop, the main tax rank, at least 3 grocery stores and all the restaurants are within 1-2 minutes walk. About 3 minutes walk away is car hire, internet café, travel agents, bars and bakeries. Despite how many facilities are on the doorstep – this hotel is so quiet and feels quite secluded.

You can also walk to Agia Anna within 5 minutes of this hotel. Which gives you another beach and a brand new large grocery store if you are self catering. You can also easily walk to Plaka beach within 15 -20 minutes.

We used public bus to visit Naxos main town and it could not be more convenient. Runs every 30 mins, get the ticket from the grocery store by bus stop. It stops at Naxos Port, which is at the end of the town by the Eye of Naxos ruin.

Hotel

The gardens are very well kept and from what I could see had the only greenery / proper gardens of all the hotels in the area. Rooms are in small blocks set within the gardens. The hotel owners were so friendly and helpful, a wonderful small and friendly set up.

The pool and surround is immaculate with very good quality hardwood sun loungers. I did think the loungers should have had some padded covers however – as they were quite hard to lay on and read, despite placing beach towels over them. That said, the quality far exceeded the usual dirty plastic and fabric loungers offered at other hotels we have stayed in.

Pool

The pool is not large, but fine for the size of the hotel. It has shallow end for children and within that shallow area is a Jacuzzi. Some of the rooms open up directly onto the pool and so their terraces are within about 10 -15 foot of the pool edge.

Rooms

Our room 308, was a studio for 2 -3 persons with small kitchen area. It was on the first floor, overlooked a small garden and had a side pool view. It contained 1 double bed and 1 single bed, wall mounted TV, air conditioning, wardrobe with three drawers in base and key operated safe (free of charge), a separate dressing table and bedside tables with drawers. The bathroom was very compact, but fine. The shower was unusual in that the shower head was fixed half way up the wall and so you needed to unhook this to run the shower over yourself. The hotel provide more than enough liquid hand soap free of charge. The bathroom contained good storage facilities and the hotel provides an ample supply of clean white towels every day. Main service is daily and excellent.

The kitchen area contains 2 electric rings, a sink, fridge and cupboard space. Plates, cups and cutlery are limited, but adequate for the number of people in each room. Saucepans and frying pans etc are adequate.

The balcony was a generous size, contained a hardwood table and three comfortable slatted hardwood chairs and the maids provided a colourful tablecloth which was a nice touch. There is also a washing line and pegs provided.

The only downside for us was that the mattresses on the beds were a little hard for our liking. But we got used to it over the week.

Meals

The hotel offers breakfast if required at a cost of E5 each person. From what we could see a number of people took advantage of this and it was a buffet service. There is seating both inside and on the pool terrace, but most tables were inside.

Other services

There are laundry bags on the wall outside main reception. You can fill the bag and the whole lot will be washed for a set cost.

Light meals / room service can also be provided and a full list of the meals is within the excellent hotel guide within each room. Meals costs are very cheap compared with other islands.

There is a computer in reception area, for accessing the internet free of charge. But there is also an internet café on the main road into Agios P within a travel agency store, this has about 8 computers and the cost is very cheap with fast connections. I used this, as the single machine at the hotel was often busy.

There is a gym at the hotel and a waste ground area to one side where hire cars can be parked free of charge.

Local Restaurants

We tried four of the restaurants on the beachfront, but kept going back to the Collesseo (I may have spelt this wrong), it had the best staff, best food at good prices and lovely atmosphere with live local Greek music.

All in all we had a wonderful week here and would happily stay at this hotel again.

We got here for the second time after a year and received a warm welcome of the family. Rooms are basic but nice furnished, clean with refrigerator and hairdryer. Nice breakfast, but you can also choose to Buy your own breakfast and eat it in your room on the balcony. 50 meters from the beach of agios prokopios.
