Passing by the Information Center we found a business card of Ristorante Stryx, and because is just few step near the center we decided to take a look at the menu on the window. We decided to stay caught by the choice of slow food delicatessen and the atmosphere, young, informal, easy and quite. We discovered a lovely corner out of the 'old trattoria' choices. We opted for the only table on the upper level, very romantic, surrounded by vintage pieced of furniture and out of the way. There was the choice of a fixed menu or a plate with different kind of salami and cheeses, all slow food picked. Focaccia is home made super tasty and fresh and the lady is a great cook and a fit woman, she ran from the kitchen , on the other side of the road ,to the restaurant. We only enjoed half of the fixed menu as focaccia was too good and we stuffed ourself with plenty, always warm! the first course, a stuffed potato ravioli was excellent and when the cold plate (outside of the menu) came we knew we could not go further. Aside the mix of different regional salami the choices of cheeses was excellent: goat cheese, pecorino cheese and a taste of an original cream of 'formaggio di fossa' . The wine choice was a typical San Giovese. Desserts could not be avoid and we picked an amaretti cookies pudding and a cinnamon and lemon pudding, everything handmade! Also the 'after coffee ' gift was an original mexican treat. The staff is amazing and very sweet.
