Arrived at hotel to be told that our room was situated in the unfinished block next door. Walked there through a building site area. Room beautiful lovely big shower and free standing bath. When you shower whole bathroom gets flooded as drainage system very poor. View from window lovely if you look to the right but look to the left and there is a building site. Considering still being finished there is cracked tiles already on our balcony.
All of our food and drink we have to walk to the next hotel for. Also for the pool. When at the pool very difficult to get a drink as they don’t seem to have a bar that is staffed. All seems like a bit too much trouble for them even though you are paying for the for the drinks. Nice location sun bed and umbrellas you have to pay for on beach at €10 per couple beach all pebbles.
Rain very hard yesterday so missed lunch as did not want to get soaked through walking from one hotel to another. Food could be better rather on the old side for my liking drinks included wine ok no fizzy drinks just juice or water and beer. Tea and coffee at breakfast but strangely no coffee last night after dinner.

The hotel is close by the sea. Also down town of Petrovac is on the walking distance. The hotel is clean and it has enough facilities even though the rooms are small and simple. The good is the room has balcony. The food is okay, however they need to put some more signs to inform people who doesn’t want to eat pork. The hotel doesn’t have private beach. There is a private company providing umbrella and sunbed that the price is 12 €. The hotel has outdoor pool in the perimeter. The pool side is really peaceful under trees.
The hotel crew is very kind, police and helpful. They are taking comments, advices or requests positive which is the most important.

Hotel Rivjera is well situated at the wooded end of Petrovac . There are no sea views , but you would be surpised how calming it is nestled in the trees. The hotel has a swimming pool, sunloungers, parasols etc which are on the grass rather than stone, again with added shade from the trees. There is building work for a sister hotel , but no work we believe , takes place In Montenegro during the May to September period, so it was not a problem. The hotel was very clean and tidy , manager , reception desk staff and waiters were all excellent. The meals were served buffet style , salads , soups ,meat, fish , Pizza ,potatoes, vegetables , sweets. The meals were ok , but not brilliant . There was a seperate a la cartre restaurant , but we never tried it. Breakfasts were again buffet style , various eggs , fried boiled or scrambled , bacon , sausage , tomatoes and continental cheeses and meats. Various breads , one toaster , which didnt toast , and only one coffee machine ( probably should have been two ) . fruit juices , fruit and cereal . So plenty for all. You were either given a red band to wear which denoted Half board or a green bracelet which was all inclusive, so lunch and drinks(12-2) and dinner and drinks (7-9) . Drinks were beer, red/white wine , juices and water. The hotel did cater for children , so would be very busy during the school holidays. The rooms were spacious and quite . Great wifi in rooms and even in the garden . Good size bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Fridge with drinks in , but managed to put one or two of our own bits in as well. No coffee or tea making facilities. Balcony with tables and chairs , on 3rd floor ( only 3 floors) lower floors had sunbeds.
Petrovac is small but sweet and of a night time is heaving with people on the front , where there are restaurants and cafes from one end to the other. A lovely walk with lots of joyous people . We wanted Budva but chose Petrovac instead and we were glad as it was so much nicer and quainter. THe main beach is stoney and small there are bays either side as well . Sunbeds were 15 euros for two beds and parasols a day . The bus too Budva was 5 euros for two one way. The stop you got picked up from was the same one you returned too. We did do various trips , even saw the whole of Montenegro , which was about 12 hours , a bit long , but you saw a lot. The lake trip was probably the nicest , it was 38c that day and therefore was the best place to be.

Room tip: Only 3 floors , but i dont think it mattered, we were on the 3rd

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Rivijera after researching Montenegro and taking up a 10 day All Inclusive holiday through "Love Holidays".
Flights were booked via Easyjet to Tivat and were spot on. Transfer was excellent other than the driver did not speak English.
Arrived at the hotel in good time and then thats when it all started.
On checking in we were taken into the manager's office as he wished to speak to us. Why? Yes there was a problem. They had, he said, overbooked due to taking reservations on a new block of rooms that were nowhere near being finished. (My estimate of this would be at least another 2 years, money allowing), and would we stay in a boutique hotel, somewhere to the rear for 4 nights. He stated that we would have a lovely room with excellent facilities. We questioned, if we would have our meals and drinks there, to which he responded NO. He said that we would have to walk down to the Rivijera for the day and have Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner there as well as using the facilities of the hotel and to get a drink. We were not the only guests that were subjected to this trauma.
My wife has mobility issues and when he realised this he reversed tack and said that he had a room for us for all of our stay. We had booked a Junior Suite and fortunately this is what we got. I will come back to the room later.
During this initial meeting with the manager we were advised that they DID NOT operate a full all inclusive option, their version was All Inclusive Light. This meant that we could only have the following drinks:-
Breakfast - Coffee, Juice and Water.
Lunch - Draught Beer, Draught Wine (red or white but WARM) and water.
Dinner- Same as lunch.
This meant that in terms of alcoholic drinks, we only had a 2 hour window at lunch and again a 2 hour window at dinner.
No other drinks were available at any other time unless you paid for them.
The food was extremely limited, tasteless and overcooked, except for Bacon at breakfast which was almost still raw. The self service area was far too small and you were queueing all the time to get anything.
Our room on the second floor was of an excellent size with a small balcony and a large terrace. Where the doors to the outside were in the corner of the room there was a bad patch of damp and every day there was bits of paint and plaster on the floor.
Outside the hotel were several seating areas in a pleasant garden setting with lots of trees for shade. But alas, if you wanted to eat and drink outside you would had to put up with SMOKE. People insist on smoking throughout their meals and especially right beside a doorway.
The swimming pool was pleasant with a shallower section for children but the water was cold, colder than the sea. There were also 2 Jacuzzis which DID NOT work and as result the water stagnated in them.
Locals, including many children were allowed to come into the gardens and use the pool, much to the discomfort of guests.
The pool had a clearly displayed rules board, stating - No Jumping, No Diving, and all children to be supervised. In all 3 instances these rules were not observed and nobody took any notice.
When the new development is finished, the place will fall apart as the facilities will not be able to cope.
All in all an expensive CON.

Room tip: Junior suites are a lot bigger. No rooms have a sea view due to the trees.

Me and my husband stayed here for our silver wedding anniversary for 1 week.
The staff on arrival were all very helpful and the whole time during our stay. Very polite and will do anything for you.
We went to a restaurant on the sea front for our anniversary instead of hotel .
The food at the hotel was ok, they cater for all nationalities.
The beach is lovely but shingle and it really hurts your feet so pop in one of the many shops and get some shoes for the beach.
All the restaurants in Petrovac are good apart from one - we tried twice to eat there but the service was awful and both times the kitchen wasn’t working. La cantina.
