“Local history”
Reviewed March 6, 2014 via mobile

This museum is run by volunteers, and is in the old fire station it has very interesting facts about Brandon's history. Lots of old photos and artefacts. Worth a visit if your interested in a towns history..
The review about parking is false as parking in town is free and less than 10yards away I think they are mistaking this with country park..

“Brandon Heritage Trail”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

At one time Brandon was the major British center for fur trade and Britains gun flint industry; you can see flint used on many of the buildings and walls around town. If you go down High Street, stop at the tourist information center and they will be happy to supply you with a heritage trail map and a riverside walk map. Also ask for a copy of the Little Ouse Group magazine which has the history and wildlife about the river. Brandon is a very friendly village and there are several nice places to eat as well as a small, local brewery where you can purchase local ale.
