A bracing walk up the hill gives the reward of good views. Worth a visit. Easy to find and large free car park.

Park in the car park and take a little stroll up the hill, well worth a visit. Try and go on a working day so you can see the quarry in action.

The Coldstones Cut is an artist designed landscape feature on the top of Nidderdale Pennines, with extensive 360 degrees views.
Plus a dramatic working quarry revealing the geology.
Free parking with short walk on good footpaths.
Interesting for all ages, with good information boards.
about 2 miles West of Pateley Bridge.

Staying nearby in Middlesmoor, we drove up to Coldstones Cut and took the short hike up to the sculpture, easier for some of our party than others - 83 year old on one stick and rheumatoid arthritis sufferer on two sticks. Last 20 yards were a bit of a race. But it was well worth the effort for the panoramic views. Very windy but clear skies on a January day! Highly recommended
