A very unique place in the heart of Nidderdale, Yorkshire. The views from the top of this amazing sculpture are incredible. There is a short but steep walk from the car park which would not really be suitable for anyone unable to climb inclines and it is a bit stoney too for the most part so not wheelchair friendly either. Well worth it for anyone able to visit. There is a navigation indicator all around one of the viewing towers with the distance and direction of many towns and cities not just in the UK but worldwide and the view of the working quarry is very interesting.
Really enjoyed our visit and will go back again.

wow what a fab place. its right on top of the yorkshire dales (like being on top of the world). its a short walk from the car park but quite steep at the end, its always windy evn when the sky is clear. when you reach the top of the spiral walkway (one on each side) its amazing!!!!!. the locals say that you can see york minster on a clearday ( it was a bit misty the day we visited). the fantastic views over yorkshire as wonderful it makes you proud to live here in such a beautiful part of england.

A short steep walk from the car park and you approach the ends of two low but massive walls, between which streams away a strangely narrow tarmac street with even narrower pavements, yellow lines and bollards. As you walk down the street, towards the open sky, the walls get higher and higher till you are launched out onto a broad terrace that overlooks the quarry from which the stones were taken. But if you get that far straight away, then you've missed the two curving alleys set in the walls, which spiral upwards to spectacular windswept belvederes from which the whole world spreads out - and, if you lift your eyes, the cloudscapes stretch away to a horizontal infinity. Completely brilliant. Afterwards, look up Andrew Sabin's web site and see more of his witty work.
