Firstly, there is a carpark attendant to ensure that the Merc which is the size of a small truck can safely tuck itself into the parking bay without blocking other cars. He holds an umbrella just in case it rains and we need to get inside dry.
Once inside, we are greeted by a French waiter, yes, most of the waiters are actually French!
They had little trouble dealing with my allergies and the initial glass of bubbles was superb. The menu was mouthwatering and the little cup of soup given to us was lovely.
I had the scallops for entree- perfectly cooked and presented. For mains, I had the chicken - it was a little dense which made me wonder if it was organic, I don't know.
The ambience was wonderful even for a crowded restaurant - dress code was definitely more upmarket than your usual place. A special occasions restaurant for me.
