We were meeting up with old friends who recommended it...
We had a spacious room, comfortable big bed, good choice at breakfast and everything worked efficiently and, it was to us Brits, great value...the young lady who supervised the pool was very nice. But as it is the main hotel in the town with lots of bedrooms ( most of which must have a sea view!) they gets lots of functions, families at the weekend and conferences in the week. But nice to see happy people at wedding and christening receptions and as the conference whilst we were there was for The Red Cross we were both happy and safe to boot! If our friends want to see us again then we would go back.
The hotel is at the end of the promenade to take a nice evening walk, past several restaurants which deliver the standard fare well, into town and the inevitably buzzy Plaza d 'Espana. So enjoy the value, the people and the place. Marbella it ain't and come to think of it none the worse for that!

Room Tip: Good value so go for the best!

Spent a week here in August 2010.
Curtious and first class service from the moment we arrived, untill we left.
Our suite was spacious, modern, comfortable and relaxing.
Food was varied and very tasty, and with lots to choose from, and so difficult to refuse.
The 2 pools were great, with the indoor being a little cooler, and great to finish off your swim, to freshen you up.
For the sailor, the marina is just heaven, easy bearthing and restaurant and bar, at the end of the jettys.
Nice beaches, promenade for walking, and interesting Aguilas town, with the best Spanish square I have seen for a long time.
I look forward to going back, and I give this four star hotel an extra star *

We stayed only one night in this delightful hotel as we were on our way further up the coast.

Don't know whether we just hit lucky, but everything was great. It was a welcome find after travelling for hours, needing a place to stay and just walking in off the street.

The room was fantastic, so spacious, spotless and relaxing - we truly wished we were stopping a few more nights to make the most of the facilities and the excellent location. We used the swimming pool the evening we stayed and the following morning and it was perfect, clean and not at all busy.

The restaurant served an excellent array of food on a buffet style, eat as much as want. Fresh fish was available which you could see the chef cooking and if you were lucky with tables, you could eat overlooking the sea. We strolled along the promendae after our meal, as I say, a perfect location right on the sea front.

We would definitely go back to this hotel if we were anywhere near this coastline again.

Hi everyone:
Me and Veronica, my wife, went to Hotel Don Juan this summer and we really had a wonderful time. The beaches, the sun, the place and the staff from the hotel were great and we will be back next year for sure. Thanks a lot HDJ.
