We went along on March long weekend. For some of us this was our third or fourth trip. Since I first went their range of ciders has increased. We tried the 4 that were available and all were delicious (some more so than others).
It's only about 20 minutes drive from the city and in the cooler months its a lot greener and particularly when the trees are in blossom.
There is no table service as such, you have to place your order at the cash register however the food comes out pretty efficiently and promptly. The menu is not extensive but there is enough to choose from.
You can chose to sit on the deck which has a gorgeous outlook with ceiling fans or sit outside with sail canvas above to protect you from the sun. There was a 2 piece outfit playing who I have to say were lovely. Not so loud that you had to yell to speak but loud enough you could hear them sing and play.
If you want some where nice for lunch on the weekend then head up to the Core but do book first as the hill folk know all about this place.
