“Fantastic weekend retreat with all we could ask for and more!”

We stayed at Anneth Lowen to celebrate New Years; myself my boyfriend and our dog. We had high expectations having read the reviews on here and delightfully they we met and exceeded! We could walk for hours straight from the front door, had all the necessities indoors including the fully furnished kitchen, wood burner and TV/ DVD player. Chris and Mamie were exceptional hosts and provided us with everything we needed with a smile and friendly chat. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and we enjoyed the mince pies- thank you! Highly recommended, especially if you want to take your pooch, not only was the dog welcomed and provided for- but the property was not 'dogy' at all- so don't be put off if you aren't taking a dog either! Thank you so much for our stay, a real little treat of a getaway that left us wanting for nothing- except maybe another night!

We visited Anneth Lowen this past weekend for a Pre Xmas getaway! We drove down from London and arrived around 4pm.

We were greeted by Mamie on arrival and given a tour of the barn and presented with the most beautiful homemade rock cakes!

The barn itself is stunning. Newly decorated, with all amenties provided (thank you very much!) and a lovely log fire which we used both nights! You couldn't ask for more in a holiday home and the owners simply went above and beyond, making our short stay that much more enjoyable.

The area is fantastic - a short drive to both Bristol airport and the City itself, Blagdon lake, Weston beach and Bath.

We would love to return to Anneth Lowen next year simply because of the standard of the barn, the homely touches and the fantastic owners - Chris and Mamie :)

Thank you for an amazing stay!

Merry Xmas :)

We stayed at Anneth Lowen for 4 nights on our way to Cornwall. Very comfortable accommodation with everything you need and the best welcome pack we have ever had . The owners have put lots of thought into the property and are very helpful . Beautiful countryside and easy access to numerous places to visit . We hope to return to explore the area further .

My boyfriend and I visited Anneth Lowen on our anniversary weekend after reading about its great location, friendly owners and beautiful setting. I have to say this place exceeded our expectations! After a long drive from London on Friday evening we drove up the stunning drive way and were greeted by Chris and Mamie ready to give us a tour of the barn and make sure we had everything we needed, we instantly felt at home and relaxed! Mamie had baked some delicious rock cakes and provided milk, bread and plenty of tea and coffee for the morning. The fire was prepared and ready to be lit with plenty of spare wood. The little touches really make all the difference! We took our basset hound and were able to open the barn door for her to run straight out onto the beautiful garden, the manor grounds extend up behind the barn where you will find apple trees and forest as well as national trust trails for long walks. My only regret is that we were not able to spend more time here, we will definitely be back!

“a holiday to remember”

We spent a week at Anneth Lowen during the July heatwave (which we arranged)and on arrival were given the warmest of welcomes from Chris and Mamie for whom nothing was to much trouble during our stay.
Langford is situated in the Mendip hills and provides a perfect base to explore the many varied and interesting places and during our stay we were never at a loss for places to go or things to do, the owners Chris and Mamie are very dog friendly and even looked after Paddington our old english sheepdog who soon became very good friends with their own dog Denzil.
One of the highlights of our stay was being invited to an open evening with the local historical society which included a tour of the manor house which we both found to be fascinating, in all we thoroughly enjoyed our week at Anneth made more special by the quality of the accommodation which was very well presented, nicely furnished and spotlessly clean plus the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners.
We would definitely recommend staying here and will be visiting again in the near future. Ken, Heather and Paddington.

We stayed at Anneth Lowen on our return journey from Cornwall to Kent . When we arrived we was made to feel really welcome by Chris & Mamie. The accomodation is the best we have stayed in, perfect ! Everything was so clean and smelt so welcoming and fresh . The complimentary welcome pack was so thoughtful. We will certainly be returning to this stunning property. Felt privileged to have been able to stay in such a beautiful place .

Anneth Lowen means ' welcome house' in Cornish as we were advised by the owners . The small barn conversion has been beautifully done and is very comfortable, quiet and peaceful . It has all the modern conveniences and good private parking facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay and the
the good company of Chris and Mamie who own the Manor House.
A first class base for travelling in Somerset.
