While we enjoyed a pleasant stay down the road at Barunga we made sure we did a morning visit to the Djakanimba Pavilions for a look. We were given a tour of the facilities and visited the art gallery and gift store. Thank you to the lovely women who looked after us and made a lovely cuppa for the trip back to Darwin. Thank you to the beautiful people of the Beswick and Barunga communities who made us welcome.

What a surprise. Stunning buildings. Beautiful art including fibre art ,displayed in new and inviting art gallery. The art museum was mind blowing! Friendly, helpful and informative staff(Katy showed us around)
Comfy beds, open air dining, everything we needed including a camp oven and coffee percolator

We stayed here for 6 nights in the beautiful accommodation overlooking the vast plains of Arnhem Land. We had amazing experiences of Aboriginal culture by spending time with local artists weaving, swimming in waterholes, collecting pandanus and sugar bag. I highly recommend this wonderful place for every traveller. The folk who run the Art Centre are fabulous.

This was our first time in the Northern Territory, and when we opened the door to our room, it looked great! It was light, spacious and had everything you need for a stay in Beswick. Rowena is a wonderful person and is only too pleased to help in any way. I would gladly stay at the Pavilions again :)
