We stayed here last week and it was just lovely. My only regret is not staying for two nights. The downside is that it was by far the priciest hotel on our whole trip, but the remote location combined with the spectacular view, made it worthwhile.

We stayed in the Flora MacDonald cottage, which was just lovely. It is a 1745 cottage owned by Flora MacDonald, who is important in Scottish history. The estate, from the nineteenth century, grew up around the cottage. The terrace and the bar were great and reasonably priced.

We did have a dinner in the restaurant, and for the price, I would say it was really good, but not excellent. The portions were pretty big and we over ordered appetizers, but the main proteins were a little underseasoned and the menu was on the small side, in terms of choices. I would recommend eating there if you are staying there, for sure.

The room was lovely, the lobby lovely, and the staff was so nice and helpful.

If you want to travel around Isle of Skye, do not hesitate to stay at Flodigarry. Excellent hiking close by. Hotel is very friendly, good service and impressive menu. The breakfast is outstanding. Prices competitive.

We had to stop as we wanted to view the cottage of Flora McDonald which is on the grounds of the hotel. But first we needed some liquid libation! Staff was very friendly and prompt. We enjoyed seeing the cottage as well!
