I've lived in the village of Montolieu since 1994 and I'm surprised to see some discontent because my experience of eating there is great 90% of the time (well, nowhere's perfectis it?!)
I've found the service to be friendly and attentive, the cooking is good (not great but more than adequate) and the ambiance in the heart of the village is heart-warming.
I find best value in a starter and main course or main course and dessert, but that's just a personal thing because I find the full menu (24€ I think) a little overwhelming to finish.
On a summer evening, as the sun sets, and the church bell strikes, I still enjoy being there with family and/or friends.
