Just been here for lunch and the Ploughmans was awesome and service was excellent,
I have not been here for over 30 years but very glad we went back today as will return very soon,

Pub itself is lovely. Staff great. Food not so good. Chips are fine but that's about it. They love to over garnish everything with lettuce cucumber and tomato. Medium steak was very well done with a bit cut off which makes it look like it was a bad bit removed. One persons pudding was steaming hot fresh out of the microwave while another was to cold to eat.Food very cheap quality. Very accommodating to changes though but would only ever pop in for a bowl of chips at lunchtime maybe.

However, she did say that you were asked a number of times whether everything was to your satisfaction but your response was positive. It might have been possible to rectify the situation at that time.
Nevertheless, we are sorry you did not have a good experience which is unlike the majority of reviewers’ experiences.
Excellent bar staff. Lovely log fire in the winter months. Top notch owners. Friendly clientele.....

What a wonderful visit to a beautiful family friendly pub! I couldn’t recommend more. One particular member of staff stuck out, her name was Amy! She was fabulous with my daughters needs! Food was delicious and pricing was good value for money.
The food was amazingly good, staff couldn’t do enough for us!!!
Will definitely recommend to friends and family
