“Good property with good vegetarian food facility”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights with my extended family. Good facility. Clean property. Does not allow liquor to be served or used in the facility. Hence it was very good for the kids in the family. The restaurant is good when it came to quality of food. The ambiance could have been improved with more comfy chairs. Over all it was a good experience and value for money.

Room Tip: Enquire if the hot water geyser is working in the room.

We booked a Bronze room at Naman Bastar for 2 nights (18 and 19 Nov 2012) using cleartrip.com . the voucher said that we can check in any time and the checkout time is 24 hours. After confirming the bookings on pjone from Raipur we took an overnight bus we reached the resort at 7:30 AM on 18th. We were surprised to hear that we cant get a room before 12 noon as the previous occupants havnt vacated. We tried to talk to the manager but he was not there. A local boy was handling the reception who had absolutely no knowledge of hotel management. I quickly called cleatrip people and they then called the Manager Mr Rao who then instructed the boys 2 accomodate us in his office room and also made them get us a room bt 10:30 AM.Once we gotthe room we found them nice and clean. The property is great with lots of green space. It gives U feeling of a stay is a village with all facilities. The restaurant offers good food but it has only vegetarian options. The room service again is bit slow and its all the local boys who handle them.If they spend some effort, money and time to train these boys then they will surely be an unbeatable resort in such a remote area.Overall a nice stay for me and my wife if we ignore the initial hick-up with room allotment.

Me and some family friends had a holiday in Naman Bastar from 17th - 19th Nov.2012. The property is very good the gardens are well maintained. Food is good. The swimming pool is cleaned years back and have no filtration plant working. We had confirmed bookings for 3 rooms from 16th to 18th Nov. through Booking.com. We were flatly refused rooms on 16th with an excuse that they have no connection with Booking.com. Then we sent full amount in advance for 3 rooms from 17th -19th. On our arrival we were provided only two rooms just because somebody had not vacated his room. The manager Mr.Dilip Rao is never available to look into your problem.
The staff including the receptionist are all local tribal boys with absolutely no knowledge of hotel management. Any requirement like Tea, towels, food service or hot water takes very long time and needs repeated reminders.

A nice and spacious resort. Location is also nice as it is away from city, adjacent to agriculture fields. Swimming pool is well maintained. ButThe quality of food is not good, and is very spicy also. The quality of bread they served was very poor. The rooms are fine, and provide a "verandah" in front and also some closed back space, u can either spread your wet clothes or keep extra luggage . Staff is very helping and polite.

The Naman Bastar resort in Jagdalpur is a beautiful property managed by polite and helpful staff. Cottages are strewn around in a sprawling garden. Rooms are decent and clean. The food was great too.
It is on the road to the famous Chitrakoot falls, with many quaint adivasi villages en route.
All in all, a memorable stay.

the rooms are clean and spacious. the prices are affordable and it is within the nature. the ethnic theme of the hotel gives it a heritage aura. it is better to choose indian dishes in the restaurant.
