Mr and Mrs Thajudeen couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating when we made an unscheduled stop at their beautiful homestay as a result of a 48 hour general strike in Kerala!
The house is situated on a quiet, tucked away residential road. It is immaculately clean and the bedroom was the largest and best we had had during two preceding weeks in India. There were tea and coffee making facilities, a nice bathroom and a private balcony. Breakfast was copious and absolutely super - a mixture of East and West. We had to move on because of circumstances but rather regretted it as we imagined the other meals would have been lovely too. It's a bit of a walk into the "centre" of Thekkady but perfectly do-able and delightful to be away from the hustle and bustle for a while.More
