My family and I stayed at Villa Savoia for 5 nights to enjoy a week of seeing Rome. This villa is 30 minutes by train to Rome Terminal and the train station was very close. Eugenio and his wife were excellent hosts and provided us with more than you can ask for. I recommend Villa Savoia to anyone wanting to see Rome or to just see Italy in general. We look forward to our trip back to Italy and we will definitely be staying at Villa Savoia again. Thanks again, Eugenio and Oskana for the great time!

We travelled from Scotland to Marino to enjoy the annual grape festival, which is one of the oldest in Italy; it commemorates the return of Admiral Marcantonio Colonna to his home in Marino after his victory over the Turks at the Battle of Lepanto in October 1571.

It’s a four day festival and the streets are closed off to public traffic and lined with food caravans from all over Italy, one of the highlights of the festival is when sparkling white wine flows from the fountains in the main square.

Villa Savoia is lovely and spacious and is situated in a nice part of the town. It has a large terraced area to the rear which is perfect for outdoor dining or relaxing with a drink whilst taking in a panoramic view of the Eternal City.

We went to Rome, Castle Gandolfo and Lake Albano which are all in close proximity, and the train station is a five minute walk from the apartment. Our friendly hosts Eugenio & Oksana were fantastic and couldn’t have done more for us. We loved the small restaurants and friendly local people; overall we had a wonderful time and are already planning to return.

Just returned from a fantastic holiday to Villa Savoia! An amazing apartment with stunning views overlooking Rome. Our host Eugenio and his lovely family could not have done enough for us - anything we needed they supplied immediately and gave great insight into the locality and advice on Rome itself! The standard of the apartment was exceptionally high with everything that anyone could need for the perfect holiday! Of course the prize was the most spectacular terrazzo - we didn't want to leave! A beautiful little town with very kind and friendly people - amazing restaurants! Cannot wait to return!

Villa Savoia is a must stay when you plan to visit Rome. Do yourself a favour, get away from the hustle and bustle of Rome and experience the authentic Italy with a delightful stay at Villa Savoia in Marino.
What can i say, this place is amazing topped off with exceptional hospitality from your host Eugenio. We travelled as a family of 4 with 2 young children and stayed at the Villa for 4 nights and did not want to leave as it felt like home away from home.
Marino is a little treasure in the hills off Rome only a short train trip into Rome. The food is fantastic with many restaurants to choose from at a fraction of the price of Rome and also has the best Gelati store in Italy, a must visit.
To add to the charm of Marino, they have the freshest mineral water from the tap. This water makes for the best bathing, leaving your skin and hair the softest it has ever felt, eternal youth from the tap.
To top our experience off, you will not find a better host than Eugenio, he is the most accomodating and friendly person you will ever find and will make your stay an absolute joy.
When visiting Rome, stay at Villa Savoia and you will leave as a friend.

"When we spent the day in Rome and took the train back to Marino in the evning we said: "We are on our way home". This summons the apartment; spacious, comfortable, a large terass whith a splendid view, and at the same time personal and relaxing. The owner took great and friendly care of us, answered our questions and gave us helpful information. One evening, at about 21.30, when we by mistake overloaded the electric capacity and the whole apartment went dark, we had to call the owner. Within a few minutes he came, fixed it and showed us the reset button. The included private parking lot for the car was very convenient. Marino is a nice small town, and also a very good base for excurions to Rome (train) and Castelli Romani (car)."

We stayed three nights in Villa Savoia and it was so comfortable Rome had to wait for us until afternoons. Eugenio would be very helpful if anything went wrong. He wasn't needed because everything was as promised and we had all the convenience. We had a car, we drove to Rome (maximum 20 min.) and left the car in a garage. In the town, we felt very safe, we could buy groceries from the authentic suppliers with a five minute walk. From the huge terrace you can have a sip of your beer watching Rome lights... Perfect.
