We stayed here at the very end of our Italy south tour. After the hustle and bustle of Rome, and the chaos of the Sorrento and surrounding area, this was a dream. This hotel is in a quiet place of the roman countryside. It is relatively close to town, about a fifteen minute walk, but if you desire solitude, you got it here. A nice pool and garden area add to its old style charm. The view of Rome from its balciny is stunning. The restaurant served excellent dinners and satisfying breakfasts. We were very happy with our room, hardly using the A/C, as we had two large windows we could open to enjoy a natural cooling. Some in our group weren't as lucky as they only had a sall porthole like window. The staff was courteous and attentive, and very hard working. The fact they spoke reasonable english was a bonus. We would gladly stay here again if the opportunity presented itself.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the pool on the second floor

We came with a very good deal from Groupon and got a room from a groundfloor/basement.
Room was tidy and we were satisfied as our point was just to sleep there and see the Rome.
Satisfied with the breakfast too, we were there right when they started serving. Very good choice if you want to see the Rome and on the other hand spend evenings in nice small town Frascati.

After travelling from one place to another, one hotel to another exploring South Italy, our tour operator has chosen the place to slow down the pace. Our last place to stay was the Villa Vecchia Hotel. Perfect place to unwind after many days of hop on hop bus rides. Situated outside of town, quiet, serene but well equipped with modern amenities including almost free wifi. Guests has to pay one euro for the wifi password which is good for 24 hours. The atmosphere is different from other hotels. Staff showed very less smiles but answer questions and extend helping hand when needed. Rooms are okay but can't find TV audio volume control piped into the bathroom, not sure why there is speaker in there?? Dinner and breakfast were decent, good selection though it is up to the person to be creative when it comes to breakfast. Frascati is about 5 minutes by taxi, 15 euro one way..is it worth it? Well for people like us it was worth to explore another vibrant town at night as we were not ready to unwind....

Yvonne and Nico Rusch visited this hotel from 16-06 until 18-06, and we will come again next year! Thanks to maitre Vincenzo Scaraglia our staying was a perfect one.
Ask him about good wines, and you will be surprised!!
Room, diner, and price/quality were good.
From Villa Vecchia it is wonderful to visit Rome, and we were very satisfied about the bus-service to the train-station.
Hope to see you next year.
Yvonne and Nico Rusch.
