We happened upon this little village near Frascati (Monte Porzio Cantone) right at sunset. We sat in the village square, people watching, drinking a lovely bottle of wine until the restaurant opened at 7:30.
The owner, Nicola, sat us a beautifully laid table and suggested a bottle of the local Frascati white wine...it was crisp and delicious. The pasta he served us was very rustic but delicious...fresh tomatoes, sauteed pork, local cheese. He described the dish as a local favorite. We had chocolate creations for dessert that were delicious as well.
The charm of this place cannot be overstated...it was everything you want in a local Italian experience!
