The gardens are a lovely mix of colour and designs. Neatly laid out with a variety of different features such as t he lovely Chinese gardens. A great way to spend a sunny, dry afternoon. There is also a cafe.

The garden was simply stunning. Well worth a visit. We had lunch at the restaurant which was pleasant although when I visit again I'd be inclined to bring a picnic as it hard to justify the cost as the catering has much room for improvement.

We vistied Biddulph Gardens for the second time. Our first visit was over 25 years ago. It is a lovely garden and part of the National Trust.
Good points : The lovely pond and the rhodedendrums which were in full flower and looked lovely.
The Chinese Garden which was just picture perfect.
Lovely long walks if you wanted to do them or just short walks if you didnt feel up to the longer walks
Lovely flower beds which were just coming into flower
A good restaurant which served a good selection of snacks
Poor points - the restaurant was a little dull and small and overcrowded when the bus loads came in.
The steps which might prove difficult for less abled visitors
overall though a lovely day and a place you could visit more than once through the season.

The gardens are beautiful and you could wander around for hours. You do need proper footwear as there are lots of rocks to climb in certain areas.

It was Father's Day so I suggested going for a light lunch at Biddulph Grange, then a walk in the gardens. Disappointed there were no dragon flies about, but plenty of spotted orchids and a few early (late because of the cold weather) purple orchids. The rhododendrons were a blaze of colour, although the rainbow hedge has been dug out. The Koi carp were plentiful as well as the common carp and mirror carp. The chinese gardens were splendid well painted and well maintained, the end wall is now safe and finished it's reconstruction. A little early for the Dhalias, but the bad spring probably had something to do with that. The vegetable garden was doing fine, with plenty of lettuces for sale, for replanting. National Trust membership required.
