Typical South American central square - the hub of local activity with a central fountain and a church on one side. During our visit there was a festival where the local villagers get together and ‘plant’ trees adorned with presents into the concrete roadway on all four corners of the square and then spend the night drinking, dancing and chopping it down. It made our cold, rainy afternoon there much more interesting!
