This never used to be favourite area but now it is. Stunning location. I never actually got in to the lighthouse but don't feel I missed anything though I have been up it in the past.

Majestic as ever, this phallic beacon of hope stands proudly on Flamborough Head. It is a pity that you now have to pay to park, if you want to see it and that even applies to Blue Badge holders, even though it is a rough gravel car park, with no marked bays for anyone, let alone those who are disabled. Shame on the local council. If you are fit, you can get down to the rocks via a steeply staired path. You used to be able to climb to the top of the lighthouse but it didn't appear to be open when we visited.

A fairly accessible view of the dramatic Flamborough Head with interesting bird life and seals below on the rocks.

Drove from Bridlington, not far 15 minutes drive, lovely scenery and a nice dog friendly cafe. The weather was nice, a bit breezy, wouldn't like to be up there in bad weather, very exposed.
