Although it's a steep walk DOWN from the car park it is worth doing, especially when the weather is as good as it was on our visit. There is a charge for the car park. Remember you also have to walk back UP - which is OK if someone else is carrying your deckchair! We were so lucky with the weather - glorious the whole day. Ideal place for building castles!

We come here regularly and always enjoy the serenity of the place.

Nice little cafe, nature trails and nice beach with lovely views over the sea.

Best thing is its free!

If you want somewhere quiet to have a small snack and a (non-alcoholic) drink Danes Dyke is a good place to be.

Please note that the car park machine is well before the car park so you can have a walk of 100 yards back to the machine to pay. 50p an hour is not bad for a holiday area!

Took the dog there over the bank holiday weekend, had a great time on the beach and walking along the trails in the woods. Has a cafe and toilets so you don't have to squat behind trees!
