Thornwick Bay Holiday Village

Myself and my family have been coming here for the last 10 years. We have a caravan on the site and visit regular. The site is clean and staff friendly. The site always seems very quiet but is always busy. Flamborough is a beautiful village and so scenic.

Myself and my family have been going to Thornwick and Sea Farm since 2006, and we love our holidays every single time!

We used to bring our tent and stay in the camping field, which is only about a 10 minute (if that) walk to the cliff top. There is a play area on the field, and clean toilet blocks dotted around the field.

Last year we brought Grandma with us, and so stayed in a Chalet instead. And we had just as much fun. The chalets are clean, well looked after and very comfortable. Electricity is paid through a card that is available from reception and is quite expensive, but we didn't use very much last year as we were always out and about!

The staff are all very friendly and always happy to help. The shop on site is very good - it is a lot bigger than some camp sites that I have visited and stocks plenty of things. The bars seem nice, although I don't really spend much time in them. Fish and chips are lovely. There is also a bus that runs into Bridlington straight from the site which I think was about £3 for a return last year.

Close to the site is Flamborough Lighthouse - you can see it from the site in the evenings. There are plenty of lovely coastal areas such as Thornwick Bay itself, Danes Dyke, South Landing and North Landing. Many of the bays also have lots of caves and rock pools which are lovely to explore when the tide is out! Bridlington itself is only a bus journey or a short car ride away, with lots of attractions such as the harbour (would recommend a trip on the Yorkshire Belle!), the Old Town and the Abbey and South Beach which is quieter than Bridlington Beach and dogs can have a run on there too.

We've also seen lots of interesting things along the coast. The rescue helicopters use the cliffs to practice. We have seen people snorkelling, TV cameras filming what we think could have been an episode of "Heartbeat"or "The Royal" a few years ago.

We love Thornwick and Sea Farm so much we are going again next month, and we can't wait :)

We've been coming here for a few years. There is plenty to do. Lovely walks around the cliffs, and a sheltered cove for the all important sandcastle contest. On site, there is a playground, and a swimming pool. There is a small cost for the pool, but you can buy a weekly ticket which is excellent value.
Food wise they have a cafe, and a fish and chip shop which are both worth a visit.
The shop is well stocked, but unfortunately is only open a few hours a day, so if you run short, then it's a trip to Flamborough village.
We always visit the Smugglers bar, and the entertainment staff are as good, if not better than what you get at Haven. They do a kids disco and games, along with a visit from Pj the dog, and his nephew patch.
In previous years we have stayed in a family caravan, but due to them selling it, we stayed in a chalet. Great value, and well furnished. The only downside is that if the weather is cold you use a lot of electricity, which can get quite expensive.
We are already planning on going back again next year.

Stayed here a few years ago with a friend and our children,5 of us in total. It was my uncles caravan so not owned by the park. The park itself is nice and well kept.Reception staff really nice and helpful even tho we didnt book through them. You do need to purchase passes to go into the bars on site but we only stayed weekend so never bothered.Lots for kids to do onsite arcades, soft play ect.Onsite shop is really good but quite pricey and the food outlets are too.Nice location for going to bridlington, the bus comes right into the park and they are quite regular.few pubs outside the park that are within easy walking distance and are child friendly too.Overall i would go again but would probably book a chalet with the park and get passes so to enjoy the full experience.
