I wonder how many of you wandered round the back of the hotel to enjoy the extensive grounds? I attended for a meal and for a business course.
Reception were efficient and knowledgeable. I found the place slightly hard to navigate around but after the first hour or so the place became familiar.
I agree with the other reviewers that the staff are friendly and welcoming.
We were served tea and coffee during the conference and some jars filled with lovely cookies, and some small chocolate cakes were a delightful surprise.
I had a meal which although not produced with express speed, certainly lived up to expectations.
Prices at the bar do adapt themselves to the local clinetelle so the prices reflect those on expense accounts, if I can phrase it like that. Try and get better prices for rooms on the internet if you can and watch out for speccial offers (normally over weekends)..
The car park could do with refurbishment and the grounds to the front were a little scruffy but- I nit pick, in general I enjoyed my visit. Easy to get to from the motorway system (thank you GPS).More
