We went on a half board basis, nice room overlooking the pool and we could see the sea as well, very quiet.
Very clean apartment with plenty of room. Pool area delightful with plenty of beds which were very comfortable, If I had any complaint it would be the restaurant, very busy and a bit chaotic, seem as though they have not got enough staff. Uncooked bacon in the morning and big winding snake of people trying to get a drink from the machines. The lifts broke down 2 days running,so I think they have a problem. Its only a 3 star so you have to rate accordingly. Would definitely return, just one or two hiccups

We started as walk ins for a couple of nights and ended up staying for 2 weeks. We upgraded to a seview room for a additional 20 Euro per night which was well worthed. Great View and the main thing .... very quiet. Although you might hear the noises from the pool area in the daytime in the living room you wont hear a single sound in the bed room. The good thing was the bed room also had an aircon. The breakfast and dinner, which was included in the room rate was also good but after 2 weeks the buffet food gets a bit tiring which is only normal I guess. The reception and restaurant staff were always polite and most helpul. Internet connection in the room was a bit slow (1MBps) but still good enough to browse. All in all a very good stay and yes, we would certainly stay there again and can only recommend this place to anyone.

7 nights stay 2 adults and 11+6 year old .we stayed here in 2000 and this was a brill week away again. cleanliness is high in rooms/hotel but basic stuff if your self catering just two hobs and a fridge.some have a kettle and toaster although we used a pan to boil hot water for a brew. we stayed full board and don't have any complaints, good choice of food and plenty of it although on the thursday there was a outdoor roast which just was'nt to our taste.
Activities were on throughout the day by the pool eg darts, shooting and aqua aerobics/basketball also fashion shows so plenty to keep the kids occupied.and mini disco and entertainment most evening (parrot show/bollywood dancing etc) not to everyones taste but it was fine for us and the kids.
There were many different nationalities within the hotel although this didn't affect our holiday,we found the atmosphere great (although they're can be language barriers ).
La caleta is a quiet area away from the main town of Las americas.there is only a small amount of shops and a small cove of expensive restaurants but we didnt need to eat out.the bus stop is right outside the hotel if you want to venture out of caleta
Back to the hotel GOOD POINTS -sunbeds locked away at night and come with matresses /hairdryer in room/staff helpful and friendly
BAD POINTS(if i was to be picky)- sunbeds need a power wash getting a bit grubby/ around the pool is very slippy although they did put signs up it can be dangerous for the little ones when wet. BIG ONE we had no air conditioning in our room and found it difficult sleeping due to heat had to leave the patio doors open and get bit by mosquito's not good at all.
overall we had all had a brill time and would definitely return again(only with air con in room)

Room Tip: ask for room with air con if you are travelling in peak summer months.

No frills but decent sized, clean apartments with a great pool area. Fine for self catering but we have always gone on a half board basis. The food is buffet style and on the whole is very reasonable although at times it can be a little tepid as is the wont of buffets. The salad bar is always varied and plentiful and the menu changes daily over a two week period.
Not suitable for the night owls as it is a very quiet, low key resort with several restaurants and a few bars.
Stayed here several times over the past six years and see the same familiar faces of repeat visitors from various nations each time which must say something about the place.

We've stayed here three times before, but the last occasion was in 2005. We wanted a short winter break and chose Jardin Caleta hoping that it was as we remembered it. We found that although there had been some changes to the hotel, the basic facilities were much the same. The standard of cleanliness and service were as we'd come to expect. The British tour companies seem to have deserted it, but it is still very popular with our northern European neighbours.

Caleta has continued to expand but not so as to detract from the basic appeal of a quiet attractive small resort. There are more restaurants than before around the village, but our favorites including Piscis were still there and as good as ever. The beach near the hotel has lost its bar, but the promenade around the harbour has been completed since our last visit and is perfect for an evening stroll on the way back from one of the fish restaurants.

The hotel is convenient to base a walking holiday in the west and centre of the island. It looks as though this area will be kept as a quiet alternative to the larger resorts nearby and is recommended for a peaceful holiday for couples or families.

We (2 adults and a 4 year old) have just returned from a 10 day break there and had a wonderful time. It was so quiet and peaceful, the staff were very friendly and would recommend to everyone. La Caleta is so unspoilt and tranquil, fabulous. For the first time in years when returning from a holiday we feel completely refreshed. No air con though and I think in summer you would need it because out last couple of days were 34 degrees and it was getting quiet hot at night when sleeping.

Room Tip: Can only recommend a 2 bed apt because that is what we stayed in.

After reading reviews we booked a week at this hotel and we were not disappointed!

A great location, quiet and unspoilt village with nice restaurants. The hotel was immaculately clean and friendly staff. We chose self-catering it was very well equipped,

Maid service was every day except a Friday & Sunday. Pools were freezing but plenty of sun beds, that are locked away overnight, no reserving, a definite bonus, we never struggled to get a good spot by the pool.

We had a sea view with a large balcony which was a treat to sit and have a lovely glass of wine in the evening!

Our favourite restaurant was the little Tapas La Callega in the village on the waters edge, the food was great and very reasonably priced. We are definitely returning to this area in the future!
