I had the pleasure of visiting Bobcaygeon, Ontario, and had lunch at what looked like a pleasant restaurant on the waterfront. The Bobcaygeon Inn is one of the oldest inns in the Kawarthas and boasts the largest patio in the area.
When I arrived there were lots of empty tables, and I was seated immediately. The waiter, was quite friendly, took my drink order and delivered promptly. It took about 10 minutes for him to return to take my food order and I noticed that people who had been seated after me had already been served. When he finally came I ordered a hamburger and fries and had to wait 25 minutes before delivery.
I’m not sure what the problem was, for there were at least four wait staff in the restaurant. I assumed the kitchen was slow, and when my order finally arrived it was cooked to perfection and tasted very good. Unfortunately, I was running out of time and had to rush it down.
I would suggest if you visit the Bobcaygeon Inn ask how long service will be before you sit down, so you will have enough time to visit the shops in town.
