“Bellissima Settimana”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

My wife and I along with 18 family members and friends just spent a week at La Casa Colonica to celebrate my 60th birthday. It was wonderful beyond all of our expectations. Our group occupied the entire property for the week. Stefania with all of the Mezzetti family along with Eleonora and Antonella provided first class hospitality, food, lodging and activities. They opened up their home and hearts to us and at the same time stole our hearts.......una bella famiglia italiana.

I highly recommend this lovely location for it's warm and loving Italian hospitality.

We were here several times and every time it is a great and warm stay! Perfect hospitality, food and apartments. Stefania and her family make it a beautiful stay. We were in different apartments and every apartment has it advantages. It is not only a good stay in summer but also in the autumn, when grape and olive picking starts. Tuscany and Umbria at the best!

Stefanie was fabulous!! She was very helpful and accommodating of our group. The food in her restaurant was all fresh and home made, delicious! The rooms were very country classic and the rooms were cozy.
She would tell us about all the great places to see and stay when we continued our venture around Italy.
Unforgettable vacation!

We spent a week at the La Casa Colonica, and enjoyed our time there.
We were warmly greeted by the owner Stephania and her assistant Elenora. The meals were fantastic and the planning of my neices wedding went off without a hitch.
I would highly recommend this lovely location and the fun caring people there.

Wow! We wished we could have stayed here longer, but we only had 2 nights. We stayed in the "Cipresso" - a 2-story, 2-bedroom house separate from the rest of the farmhouse with it's own back yard. It was amazing! Stefania was the most gracious of hosts. She gave us a brief tour of the property where they grow their own grapes and olives, then treated us to a wine tasting with bread and olive oil - all from the farm of course! She also gave us recommendations for great restaurant that were not touristy at all. The location is great - not far off the main highway, close to Cortona. On this whirlwind tour of Italy, trying to see "the best of," we wanted to try a country place in addition to all the main touristy cities - this was exactly what we were looking for! If I'm ever fortunate enough to spend more time in Italy, I'll be contacting Stefania for a reservation.

STEFANIA AND ELEANORA made our wedding vacation a dream come true! They welcomed 45 of us from Canada for a full week at their Vineyard-home! Every detail was taken special care of and they treated us like family! Their staff were personal and caring! The food we enjoyed in their villa on three of our evenings was delicious and plenty! Their wine and their olive oil was some of the best Italy has to offer! I would go back again tomorrow! Their accommodations and personal attention to every detail exceeded our expectations!

Firstly, we found this place ackward to find - details poor. We are from Australia and the flies were worse, must be all the animal and chingali dung around the place. Our chalet/room was crammed and poky, ok if you were a dwarf - hit my head several times on the overhead beams. Querky oven bell would not turn off so needed to be power isolated. Accommodation was overpriced, internet did not work and was critical for our trip planning. The five bikes available for use, only one was suitable to ride. So in summary, not what I would call a 4 star.
