“Nice scenic spot on the way to Cameron Highlands”
Reviewed March 2, 2014

We stopped by here on our way up to Cameron Highlands, it was very quiet and clean. We took in the scenery and enjoyed some of the fired bananas that were being sold on the side of the road. It's a good rest spot for drivers. The water is quite clean and there are steps leading up to the higher point of the falls.

You could probably stop her for a picnic or snack. We decided to stop again on our way down but this time it was really busy with people swimming in the water, littering and making a lot of noise. So, I suppose it depends on when you visit.

“Nice Waterfalls”
Reviewed December 18, 2013

We chanced upon this waterfalls on our return from CH, where a traffic holdup on the route out to Simpang Pulai forced us to route towards the Tapah way. Generally this route is cautioned upon as it can be challenging for drivers who are not alert and confident with the bends, narrow paths and blind spots.

That said, we were glad that we ended up taking that way as we found this waterfalls near the mid point of the journey. Since we were there on a Sunday, it was actually crowded with over a hundred people but even then, it was a nice place and we had some fun splashing about in the waters. For those who are curious, you can swim about in the waterfalls and stand directly under the falling water for a natural 'massage'.

There are road side stalls selling little gifts and rattan items, plus you can find food and restrooms there too.

“Great place to chill out”
Reviewed May 17, 2013 via mobile

A tired day after tour in Cameron highland. This is one of the place for us to chill out and especial the hot season in Malaysia now!

This waterfall divided into two different part where great place for family visit. The lower area; low tight and great for kids to chill out.

Tip: it's free and could be over crowded where no park lot available.

“A must-see”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

This place is really a must-see and a must-stop, while driving on the terribly windy road from Tapah. Parking it's not easy but the view really worths the effort.
There are always many people there, some taking a dip in the water, some resting and taking the fresh breeze.
There are also some food stalls and some vendors where you can buy souvenirs.
I recommend this place for a stop to rest and breathe, in order to prepare yourself to more 35 km of rough road (with terrific views, indeed).

“Getting Closer To Mother Nature”
Reviewed October 13, 2011

On your way up the winding road to Cameron Highlands, you certainly cannot miss the awesome sight of the Lata Iskandar waterfall. It is indeed a welcome sight after seeing nothing but trees for several kilometers up the winding hilly road.

The Lata Iskandar waterfall is located along the road from Tapah to Cameron Highlands, about 25km before Ringlet. It cascades over several tiers of granite slopes, with the last drop at 25 meters high flowing into a small pool below, before resuming its journey as a narrow stream.

Despite its location out in the nowhere, the waterfall is usually crowded on weekends and public holidays.

For sleepy heads heading up towards Cameron Highlands, a dip in the cold (and I really mean cold) pool will certainly wake you up.

There are also numerous shops by the roadside near the waterfall selling all sorts of items including food and drinks, souvenirs, tribal handicrafts, strange herbs, tropical fruits and a wide range of other items.

One word of caution though. Parking can really be a test on your nerve as there is no proper parking facility here. Visitors normally park their vehicles by the road shoulder or any place they can find a place to squeeze their vehicles into. As a result of the haphazard parking, traffic can sometimes be brought to a standstill.

Watching a bus or a truck blaring its horn while it tries to maneuver between haphazardly parked cars can really break the monotony of the place.
