First impression is : way beautiful than I imagined.
I finally had a chance to visit White Crater, for all this time i only saw it from tv.
White Crater located at Ciwidey, it took us two and a half hours to go there from Bandung City. it was long weekend and the road was packed, usually it will only takes one hour and a half according to our driver.
entrance ticket is IDR 18,000 for national, IDR 50,000 for foreigners. you can choose to park your car in lower area, which will cost you cheaper only IDR 10,000 , or you can park at upper area which will cost you IDR 150,000.
when you park your car in lower area, you can go up by Ontang-Anting, it is a traditional transportation provided by local people.
i choose to go to upper area. the road from lower to upper area, it was uphill area and bumpy road so i prefer to use my own car instead of Ontang-Anting.
Ciwidey has been managed well now, so do not worry about any other fees that may cost you and the fare is transparent, which is good.
Ciwidey is quite chilly, so better bring your light sweater, don't wear bulky jacket because it is too much. you can wear sandals, but i recommend you wear shoes so you can walk easily.
the smell of the sulfur is very strong, so better bring your mask. there is a small counter which sell mask, but better bring your own.
because of the sulfur, all visitors recommend to stay only 15min max, so make sure you capture best moments :) for some people maybe can cause nausea and dizziness.
better to come before midday, thick fog will appear after midday, so not good for taking picture, and for safety reason the management probably will close the area.
although you can only visit White Crater 15 min, but Ciwidey has so many to offer such as Tea Plantation Rancabali, Strawberry Plantation, which is still in the same area. so you can visit several places.
despite of sulfur, chilly climate, like i said White Crater is magical. so one is should come to see by themselves.

Well, this white crater is worth place though we could spend time on the way to this place (if there's traffic when long weekend). The air feels so cool, cold actually. Many interest spot to take picture.

A visit to the White Crater is a must for travellers! Interesting lake which still has 'smoke' coming out of it at one part of the lake. It's green because of the sulphur.
Great place to pose for couple or family pictures. Also, it was not too crowded. View is fantastic!

Although the location is a bit far from Bandung city centre, this place is definitely worth to visit. The place is well maintained. But nothing much you can do here, just for taking photos and sightseeing. This place will looks very good in your instagram page.

About an hour's drive from the city, the roads climbing up the volcano presents an adventure by itself.

as with most tourist spots, at the rest stop before the journey up the volcano, loads of people peddling local produce and I must say they are quite insistent.

Avoid weekends, I went on a Saturday and it was a little too crowded to really sit down and enjoy the awe inspiring view and breath in some sulphur.
