The food and local ale was just right! Packed out with locals which is always a good sign. It was very reasonably priced as well

“Disappointed”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2013

Just moved in to Stonehaven and had family through to visit for weekend, had booked on the Monday for the Saturday night, but arrived for table to be told it was for the following night...their mistake not ours, was now fully booked, and given a half hearted apology, no offer of making a table available or free drink, did we still want Sunday night table, really didn't care....we dine out twice at the weekend, but will not return to Ship Inn....

“Great local food beautifully cooked”

The friendly staff made a great effort to welcome you.For such a small establishment the quality of the food was extremely good especially after eating in some big hotels where the food was poor and old fashioned by Australian standards

You must book the food is excellent as are the prices, the fish and chips are the best ever, the Salmon fishcakes are out of this world, the staff could not be more helpful. Worth the visit.

“Taken out by Family”

We were visiting relatives in Stonehaven and they took us for a meal at the Ship. We found the food to be excellent as was the service. I would strongly recommend this restaurant.
