We had an excellent evening meal in the Ship Inn Stonehaven recently. We had a most enjoyable meal starting off with delicious Cullen skink followed by home made chicken goujons in a beer batter.mmmm!!! The service was also very good. All in all a great dining experience. We'll definitely be back. !!

“Evening Meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2012

Good choice of food on the menu. Four of us had different meals and all excellent. Breaded Haddock, Haddock Mornay, Gammon Steak and Liver and Bacon. Only thing we would say is that the sweets were a bit pricey, especially when you added 50p on for cream.

Meals in The Ship were excellent – best mussels I have ever had and the venison was cooked to perfection!! Wonderful staff; attentive, but not intrusive. In all, impossible to criticise. Would thoroughly recommend!!

“BEST FISH & CHIPS IN THE UK”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2012

All the food is fresh and very good quality, the fish is fresh from the sea and this makes it the best fish & chips in the UK as far as I can see. I always try out the fish & chips when I am near the sea but this is the best I have ever had. But all the food is just as good and there is a wide choice of filling meals and at sensible prices.
