“Another Enjoyable evening”
Reviewed December 1, 2013

Been here many times. Hubby loves the curries + if we aren't in the restaurant he will go down for a take away. Customer service is really good + makes you want to come back.

The food was good, service quick and food still hot.

We will continue to eat her.

“Buffet Wednesday ”
Reviewed November 28, 2013 via mobile

Arrived here full of excitement having heard some of the work lads going on about it, glad we booked a table because as we arrived they where turning people away.
Greeted nicely, shown to our tables and given a popadom each and some onions and like a weird tasting raita yogurt dip.
Then we started on the buffet, I've worked all over the uk and been to tons of buffets and this was by far the worst with choice.. 4 starters that was vegetable pakora, potato in batter, chicken tikka and an odd looking quite horrible tasting chicken pakora. This looked more like nik nak crisps but not as nice, it was really thin strips of chicken in a greasy soggy tasteless batter.
For mains was a chicken tikka masala with was more like sauce with about 5 bits of chicken in it, the metal serving pot was full to the top of it with sauce but as I said u had to look for the chicken, so I gave that miss.. I chose the chicken chaan, it was 'ok' but the chicken was rubbery and chewy.. Then tried the lamb moon moon but like the masala it had no lamb in it!! Just chunks of courgette... We never got to sample anything else as after we had our 2nd small plateful they came across told us we were finished and gave us a plate with oranges on it and hand wipes... Lucky if we'd been in the place 15 mins!! Never have I felt so rushed and the feeling that they wanted you in take your money and then wanted you out so they could get someone else's money

Everyone loves a good curry and the takeaway we enjoyed from Tandoori Haven rates very highly in my opinion.
We had as starters the old classic of onion bhaji's which were excellent and sheek kebeb which was full of flavour.
Main dishes were chicken biriyani and chicken shashlik. Both dishes were well presented and were very tasty with beautifully soft chicken and well matched spices. The biriyani was as good as we have had in a long time with a great accompanying curry sauce.
The shashlik had the smokey flavour from the tandoor oven and we loved every bite.
Naan bread was good as were the poppadoms.
Top marks from us!!

“Decent Wednesday night buffet”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

Went for the Wednesday buffet, booked at the last minute which was just as well as people were getting turned away when we arrived. Obviously has a very regular local clientel. Buffet was pretty good, not a big selection but perfectly adequate with 4 starters and 4 mains with rice and naan bread on offer. The mains in particular were good, two chicken and a lamb curries along with a vegetable alternative. Naan's were very good. Just as I was ready to go for the main courses, noticed that two of the main choices were not there and it took over 10 minutes to replace, which was not good. The premises are a bit of a letdown, very tired and in need of refurbishment and as for the gent's toilet, the floor was so greasy it was difficult to stand up!! That said, with meals for three along with drinks coming to around £42, it is excellent value for money and would have no hesitation in returning.
