A cold, wet, dark, blustery evening - looking forward to a welcoming, warm, cosy place & a nice meal.
Plus points - great location on the harbour front. Good food value. Some unusual choices. Pleasant dining room with not too much ‘marine’ décor. Interesting menu. Pleasing, relaxed service. Good food. However, there were only 4 others dining, so not much ’atmosphere'.
Minus points - wine is a bit expensive - were brought the wrong one at first, but changed without fuss. Dining room is upstairs - rather a long climb up! Difficult for those with limited mobility. No table cloths & only paper serviettes. It was just warm enough, on a cold, stormy night. The radiator next to our table wasn’t on.
