A little hard to get to (the road is bumpy), but worth the effort. Walk the last part if you don't have a great car and you'll love it. Food is great. Good beer and other selection. Dive off the 20 m high cliff into some of the nices water you'll ever see. This place is a top-notch location compared to anywhere else in the world, let alone the DR. The accomodations are nice too. I stayed in the cabin one night and woke up to an amazing view of the ocean in my open house balcony/room. Would be a nice place to wake up with that special person.

My husband and visited El Cabito for dinner three nights into our stay at Las Galeras. The food was amazing as is the incredible food. We loved it so much we canceled our hotel reservation and came back the next day to stay in one of the cabanas. Everything was amazing: the people were wonderful and it was a nice secluded spot. Please be advised that the road up is a bit rough and that there is no hot water (but a cold water shower felt great after a day hike to a secluded beach). My husband and I loved it so much that we booked a room for the following year before we left!

Have to go there, at least for a drink as I did. The place is quiet, well decorated and put togheter (not pretentious) and the location and view is about the best you can get. Didn´t try the food so I can´t say anything about it but the drinks were good and the bar was well stocked. Excellent for a romantic dinner or to hire for a private event/party.
Can´t miss it!

Its is a wonderful place with wonderful people. Pure nature and evidently not for small kids (high cliff). But the best if you love really unspoilt places.

We went to El Cabito on the recommendation of the manager of our house, mostly based on the view and the "experience." The view was beautiful, and we went right at sunset. The drive out there is rough, and if you don't have 4 wheel drive it is not recommended (something the Dominicans won't tell you). We got there at seven, ordered our food, then proceeded to wait 1.5 hours for our food. A little after an hour the woman working there came up to us and said that the food would be ready in five minutes, then kind of laughed and said it was okay because we were on vacation, right? Twenty minutes later our food came out. We got the fish of the day, which was nearly double the price of what was listed on the menu, and a plate of vegetables that was good, but not worth the money. We were only attended to when food was being brought to our table, and no one ever checked up on us except to tell us it was okay to wait for food because we were on vacation. If we had known what kind of experience it was going to be at El Cabito, we would definitely not go back.
