We ate at several of the restaurants in Las Galeras and this was the one we kept returning to. The owner was so nice and friendly and had no problem accomodating our limited knowledge of Spanish. The fried potatoes are delicious - and don't forget the panna cotta!

Surprisingly sophisticated cuisine for a village in the DR. Run by a Spaniard who knows good food. Great food, nice comfortable atmosphere.

We had grilled chicken with rice and salad for lunch and it was disappointing. The chicken was served quickly -- because it had been grilled earlier and was just warmed up. A forgettable meal and we couldn't find anything in particular to recommend this place.

1st course: pizza margherita
2nd: mixed seafood grill
3rd: paella
4th: flan de coco

Any place I can have a meal with pizza and seafood and paella, and they are all well executed- that is a happy place.

For awhile we had Haley's waitress, but she eventually came back. At the end of the meal, the mamajuana was flowing.
