Had been to DSF for diner last year. The buffet spread was good.More concentration was on the sea food,as tuticorin is close to the sea.Food taste was good.Service was ok.
The ambience at the restaurant was good.

We booked this hotel at 9:45 P.M via phone on our way from Rameshwaram to Kanyakumari.

The person who took the call was helpful, checked availability and booked 2 rooms for us as we were 4 people travelling with 2 elderly ladies.

Finding hotel was not much of an issue and is located in the main city area and this is considering that we were firs time visitors in Tuticorin. Check-in at the hotel was around 11:00 P.M to find that the restaurant was closed. The room service is 24*7, and being famished we ordered for veg grilled sandwich, pizza and cold coffee.

The sandwich and cold coffee was heavenly though the pizza could have been much better.

Ok, now coming back to room, it was spacious and bathroom was ok. The toiletries provided were good.

The room charge includes complimentary breakfast and it was delicious. Specially, the aloo paratha.

Frequent power cuts is a problem but it probably pertains to the city. Though the hotel has back-up, still you might get irritated if you are watching tv and the light continuously goes on and off.

Overall, a value for money hotel.

Its well connected with town and have a shopping mall at the ground floor..

Rooms are clean, well lit up.
Air condition is good.
Wifi is good - not great speed but can satisfy the daily need.

Only minus in this hotel is its TV in the room.. after paying 2500 per day the TV is too small... besides the size its goes blank every 15 mins.
The reason is that it is not satellite powered. So power cut in some part of town will stop all channels turning blank except the local channels.

Power switching happens many times in the night. . While switching all lights go off and comes back in 10 sec and then there is no surity your TV will not go blank...

Variety of food is not available in the menu. It can be a problem for vegetarians..

Bar is good... only kingfisher beer is available and blenders pride/antiquity are not available. ..
Starters are well made in the bar and there is a good buffet lunch and dinner in the weekends.

This Hotel is located in the middle of Tuticorin in a shopping complex. Location wise you cannot go wrong with this one. The rooms, bathrooms and corridors are large and clean. There is a bar and restaurant that serves tasty food but service is very slow. If you are dining here then you must set aside about an hour’s time at least. Wifi is free and reasonably fast. The staff are pleasant, helpful and moderately efficient. Room was equipped with a flat screen, mini fridge, locker etc., but strangely no hair dryer. The linen and bedding need to be cleaner.
Suggest you book well ahead since this is a much sought after hotel for business meetings.
I had a pleasant stay here and for a town like Tuticorin the DSF does the job and gets a tick mark in many of the boxes.

I have stayed in this hotel once during my visit to Tuticorin.Stayed for 3 days here.Considering the conditions of the town, this hotel is a good one. Location is apt with a supermarket downside in the basement. The hotel has all the basic amenities. But do not expect much in comparison with big cities. The rooms are average. Bathrooms have untidy. Wifi signal in the rooms are also not that attractive. Got a nice restaurant downside. You get good south indian food downside. But i advice you must try foods from small tea shops just beneath the hotel, the food is really tasty around.staff is friendly, basically maintanance ways the hotel need to improve. Advisable for stay if you are Tuticorin because it is worth the money you pay.

We stayed here for a wedding we attended at Tuticorin. The hotel rooms are very spacious and very clean. Service is good and the hotel staff are very helpful. The internet was a little slow . The hotel is very well maintained and the staff are helpful. Distance from Tuticorin airport is 30 minutes and from the station is about 15 minutes. We did not dine here so not sure about the taste but we did take a glance at the menu card and they seem to serve Indian, Chinese and Italian.
