Coming from Legana it is sad it has taken us this long to come here, pricy yes but the quality is well worth it!

The duck was excellent and the wine matchings were enjoyed by all.

Views are a must for the traveller, outdoors in summer for sure.

We will come back!

I'm Tasmanian, and I'm embarrassed to say.. I didn't know this place existed. I was pleasantly surprised... The restaurant is a new addition to the homestead, it's clean, modern and spacious. Our breakfast was delicious! We made the comment - we'd drive the 100km for breakfast again.

As locals we only heard about this restaurant from a letter-drop a couple of months ago & then could not find any reviews for it, so decided to take the plunge as a family. From the onset - we were very impressed. Views were beautiful - although it was pouring with rain - seats were very comfortable, staff were pleasant, menu was interesting & surroundings contemporary. Salt 'n pepper squid was nice as entree, main course duck delicious, salmon was very nice but apparently overpowered by the scent of the honey glaze. Even the kids were happy! For $12.50 they had individual pizzas with flavoured chips & salad - large enough for the teenagers - plus a spider, followed by an ice-cream cone. Our desserts were amazing - we tried all four between us & no-one was disappointed. Elmslie Pinot Noir was lovely & the liqueur coffees rounded off the meal nicely. After letting our lovely lunch settle - we all took a tour of the art gallery which was very interesting. If the day hadn't been so miserable, we would have wandered around more. Not a cheap lunch but definitely worth it - you get what you pay for here - quality.
