“Great location, comfy rooms.”

Perfect location to access the hills in and around Kintail. Transfer service arranged by the hotel ( for a small fee) to leave cars at the end of the ridge walks in Glen Shiel (worth every penny at the end of a long day on the hills!) Food is decent pub grub - tasty, generous portions. Rooms are newly decorated, fresh, comfortable and clean. The family seem to work hard to care for their guests and maintain a good standard of service and presentation. Special mention to the waitress who shows a genuine interest in the well being of her customers. We will be back!

This is a "wayside inn" and one principally serving the outdoors community on that front it is everything one needs and hence the rating. Three of us stayed for three nights. Very well looked after. Food was good and plentiful and everyone who looked after us was friendly and helpful. Superb background music?!?!

We didn't stay over night but just stopped for lunch. Try the tomato and cheese toasties, very good. Also very good coffee, deserts and wonderful scenery. Deer were walking in the yard. We want to stay overnight next time.Gibb

I've used the Cluanie Inn a few times now whilst hillwalking in the area. The current owners have modernised the Hotel and maintained it's old charm at the same time. They even have wifi now, at a cost. Being so remote it generates its own electricity and water is drawn from the burn. Of an evening you can catch sight of the deer coming to the back door to feed on the scraps left out by the kitchen staff. And tasty scraps they might well be to if the food I've eaten in the bar is anything to go by. Try the Cluanie Burger, homemade and delicious.

Stayed here with a group of friends while walking locally. Very friendly owners and staff providing really great service - including helpful advice on the weather. Rooms were great and the food was excellent. Relaxed and friendly - I would stay here again very happily indeed.

I would recommend this Hotel to anyone and everyone. We stayed there when walking the South Glen Shiel Ridge. The owners are amazingly friendly and the staff are so attentive too. The food is brilliant especially after a hard day up in the hills. When I go back to do more of the Munros there I will be staying here for definite.

Room Tip: Ask for room 6 to get an amazing view of the ridge and to see a large collection of deer grazing out...

While driving toward the Isle of Skye, we were looking for a place to sleep (b&b). Many signs of no vacancy were observed. We were lucky to find this inn, since it had a place for us, a dining room (for diner) and also a gas station (for our rented car). The rooms we got were comfortable, with nice bathroom, although we had some problems with the hot waters. The sleep quality was good, and their dinner was just wonderful. Few important points: firstly, we needed to climb on the stairs with our lagged (although we had some help from the staff). Secondly, as we climbed to the up floor, we saw two parrots who make their noise (loud and clear..). However, there are also some rooms on the ground floor. Lastly, this inn is located far from any village, therefore, no place to eat beside this inn. Their dinner can be defined in one word- superb, one of the best diners i ate in Scotland. Their breakfast was also very good. We also managed to fill gas to our car, thus, it was very useful to have it all under one roof.

Room Tip: Try their specials dish
