We stayed at the Grand Palladium in Jamaica for Spring Break and really loved it. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. I especially loved the Asian restaurant. I really liked the fact that they do not use the "reservation system" so you do not have to schedule your day around your seating time for dinner. You can also eat at any restaurant as many times as you like. We only had to wait to be seated at the steakhouse so they gave us a beeper. Also, the bartenders would make your drink as strong or weak as you wanted. Be sure to bring lots of ones($) for tipping and a "bubba keg" to keep your drink cold.

We planned to take an excursion to Negril to visit Ric's Cafe but almost skipped it because there was so much to do at the resort. We made it to Ric's near the end of our trip and really enjoyed watching the cliff divers.

I always said that I would never go to the same resort twice, but I would like to take my kids there for Spring Break next year. It's family friendly AND a great place for couples without kids.

Don't hesitate to got ot this resort! The people knock this place probably hate life too. The people here will do anything to make your stay perfect. The resort is beautiful, the food is great. Remember to tip since resorts that cost you less pay less to their employees. The guys over at the scuba centre will take care of all your needs in and out of the water. Jamaica is country full of pride and beauty so get and explore it any way you can. This resort is worth every penny and minute spent at it.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Grand Palladium, Lady Hamilton, the week of April 10 - 16, 2010. It was absolutely PERFECT. The resort is beautiful - There wasn't one thing to complain about - The grounds/resort are spotless - the pool is HUGE!!! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was awesome - every restaurant or buffet we went to was excellent. We hit a good week as far as weather too - it didn't rain at all, it didn't even threaten to. The weather was perfect - sunny, hot and gorgeous every single day. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone/everyone! I hope to go back some day soon!!!

This is our second time in Jamaica but our first at this resort. It will not be our last! We hope to go back at Christmas with our kids this time. The resort is beautiful and once you get past the size, it is amazing! The first two days we did feel it was just too large but before we knew it, it felt completely comfortable. We did not like our room so we asked for it to be switched. The service was great and the next day we had a beautiful room overlooking the infinity pool and ocean. Buba's was the only place we did not enjoy the food. The reviews had us a little concerned but we had no problem with towels, food, or anything. The one thing we will do different is find the hot pool by the spa the first night. It was the best way to relax and the two streams of water pouring down to the pool are excellent for working out soreness from the long flight.

Wow! No superlative is strong enough. I'll still try to give you a clear idea of what this resort offers.

Room: extremely luxurious; unbelievably nice and clean. Marble floors everywhere, glass showers, jacuzzi in every room. Our room was in a villa with a very nice interior garden; the exterior balcony gave us a beautiful view. Every luxury you can think of, you get it. Flatscreen tv in room with satellite programming. Curtains were 100% opaque and our room was sound proof. Super clean. No bugs, no geckos, nice smell. Everything superb. A+++

Restaurants: Oh my god... The "A la carte" restaurants ans incredible. You can eat in those restaurants as well as in a 5 star restaurant in Montreal, Toronto or New York. The steakhouse (Bubba's), the italian (Pastafarian), the seafood (Poseidon), the mexican (El mariachi), the oriental (Lotus), the indian (Bhopali) and the jamaican (Xamaican) are just as equally good and the service is as good as the food. You will remember those places as well as their waiters who are welcoming and extremely nice. The buffets are huge and the food you can find in there is amazing. The breakfast buffet is just tremendous. Strongly suggested for lunch is the jerk hut just below the Poseidon restaurant: don't miss it! There always is the sports bar if you feel hungry for a club sandwich and a beer at three in the morning! Food summary: A+++

Activities on site: There is a whole staff just waiting to make your stay memorable. During the day, various classes are offered (dancing, local language, etc.). There are two beach volleyball courts and games are organized in the huge pool (it's the biggest pool in Jamaica). During the night, shows are presented and, believe it or not, the decor is changed every day as well as the show. There is some very interesting entertainment for children as well. Days and evenings vary everyday for them too. It's just amazing. We strongly recommend taking the local Patois classes (every afternoon at 3:00). When the local people hear us trying to speak there native tongue, they just light up and become really open to conversation.

Beaches: Three main beaches are offered. They don't have the same function. One is more quiet (reading, sleeping, relaxing), one is more playfull (snorkel, freesbee, games, etc.) and the other one, on the other side of the point, we never visited so I won't comment. The sand is white and the texture varies from powder to crumbled shell pieces. We could swim the ocean all week and the water was really warm (around 85-88 degrees!) but there are some occasional rock patches at the bottom. We recommend wearing beach shoes when swimming the ocean. This way, you risk less to step on a rock and hurt the sole of your feet.

Staff: In our opinion, this is the strongest point of the resort. People are nice, open, very humor oriented and amazingly beautiful. We spent April fool's day there and I caught staff members all day with pranks. Their laughs were automatic, true and sincere. We were pampered all week as if we were royalty. We would like to thanks especially Avea from the entertainment crew for her patience showing us the language. Thanks also to Peanuts, Ramona, Fabulous and Mr Go. Thanks also to Kiegan, the lifeguard, and to Nicardo and Tiffany, our amazing breakfast waiters. We also much appreciated the service of Christopher (Blue Lagoon buffet), Shannon (Bubba's) and many many more. Thanks to all of you for making our week heavenly. In summary, from Rueben at check in to the bell man after check out, the Lady Hamilton experience was magic, nothing less.

We recommended the resort to all the people we know and we won't stop!

After reading all the reviews, I was a little nervous. If you keep in mind that "Jamaica time" means really slow, you will do fine. The resort offers every thing you need for a wonderful vacation. It seems everyone had been reading trip advisor and had brought their own beach towels and large cups for drinks. Yes, they don't have enough beach towels but all you have to do is go to the front desk and they will apologize and hand you one. I have travelled to many of these resorts and the best thing about this one is there is no shortage of chairs by the pool! There are still the greedy people that go put their towels out at 7:00 am and come out at 3:00 pm but it doesn't annoy you here because there are PLENTY of chairs. The main pool is absolutely beautiful.
I would definitely go back to this resort. My only slight complaint are that the linens (towels and sheets) are worn and need to be replaced more frequently. It was heaven to slip into my own clean bed with crispy sheets and shower with a thick towel this morning. Also, the air conditioning in each room could use a little upgrade. The rooms are a little warm too since the ac isn't that great.
