Cant say anymore than perfect, very pleasant location, the conventional word B&B doesnt quite describe it. Spacious rooms furnished perfectly. Give me a choice of a top quality Hotel in the Centre of Edinburgh or Peggyslea Farm, the latter wins hands down so if you need a place to stay you wont do any better, and Im particular where I stay.

We have stayed in many different types of accommodation from bed and breakfast through to 5 star luxury hotels. Peggyslea Farm is a bed and breakfast with a difference. In fact, there are many differences from the norm. The suites are very roomy and furnished in such a way as to facilitate family accommodation and include a comfortable seating area, a 34" flat screen television and en-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower. Being completely separate from the owners` accommodation makes it feel quite self-contained. The rooms benefit from having a large bay window looking out to a very attractive, well-kept garden and views across the rolling hills. Edinburgh is only 10 miles away. The World-famous Rosslyn Chapel is a mere 5 miles away. The breakfast is one which will certainly be remembered for all the right reasons with a generous full Scottish breakfast being supplied and choices to suit all tastes. The dining room is spacious enough to accommodate all guests very comfortably and furnished to the same contemporary high standard as the suites. The greeting was warm and welcoming, without being instrusive and all staff polite and helpful. Not only was a recommendation made to an excellent local restaurant but a telephone booking was arranged on our behalf. Highly recommended and we look forward to future visits.

I stayed here over the weekend and was very impressed with every aspect of the service and the house. The rooms are all very large and the quality of the fixtures and fittings would put most hotels to shame. The rooms either have a view of the farm on one side or rolling hills on the other but all are quiet and very comfortable. The furniture is all oak and/or leather and makes for a very comfortable stay.

The rooms are absolutely some of the cleanest and best kept I have come across and is a testimony both to Annette and her cleaning team. The breakfast is a good selection of cereals/toast which you can serve yourself and a fine selection of cooked foods that Annette will prepare and once again the quality was excellent - with locally sourced bacon/sausages/eggs etc.

As for location - well it's 25 minutes driving out of Edinburgh along a very pretty stretch of road which means you can get away from the 'busy' city and enjoy the hills in the evening. but does mean a car/motorcycle is essential. But for the price I was blown away.

My wife and I had a lovely time and will be coming back.

I was very impressed by the standard of the rooms. Really luxurious, even had underfloor heating in the lovely bathroom. All the furnishings are top quality and very tasteful, rooms are really big with every convenience. Very peaceful retreat and a great base to explore city and visit Rosslyn. Warm hospitality, breakfast was great and I look forward to my next visit.

Just back from another long weekend at peggyslea Farm B&B and can't praise the Place or the owner enough. Great from arrival to departure, Don't eat at the Alan Ramsey Hotel though.

This is a fantastic place. It is modern, very comfortable and spotlessly clean with huge hotel style on-suite rooms. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms come with a seating area and flat screen TV. The en-suite has a bath and shower. The dining area is very nice and we were allowed to take food in and use the kitchen and dining area later in the day which was very convenient. The whole place has a laid back relaxed atmosphere and the owners are flexible and keen to help. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent.

When I stayed, there was a freak winter storm with severe snow and drifting. The Noble family (kids too) were brilliant. They brought up a loadall and had the yard and the private road to the main road cleared of snow, before the main road itself had been properly cleared by the ploughs. The weather knocked the power out in the area so the Nobles fired up some generators to ensure the rooms remained warm and gave us candles to give some light which actually added to the atmosphere. Mrs. Noble kept us regularly informed until power was restored. All in all an amazing delivery of service in the circumstances.

I was down with my dog to go to the Veterinary Hospital for Small Animals. Peggyslea is well situated to access the Vet Hospital and keeping the dog in the room was no problem.

If you are a horsey person you will love Peggyslea, especially when you see the stables and other facilities!

If you are pondering whether to stay at Peggyslea or not, don't. Just book it and enjoy a great stay. I would not hesitate to visit again.
