This fully restored stern wheeler offers a self-guided tour of an important part of the local history. One can imagine the royal visit when the SS Moyie was partly renovated to add the royal suite. Well worth an hour or two.

This is a fabulous glimpse into the history of transportation. The stern-wheeler is in great shape and I really enjoyed taking a peek at how people used to get around in this remote area.

Our family loves museums, but this was awesome. They had scavenger hunt type games for the kidlets, which makes an already cool attraction even more fun for kids. They were eager to learn and even roll play.

The attached tourist information is also super helpful in tailoring your time in Kaslo.

While visiting Kaslo we went and did a walk through of the SS Moyie. It was $12 an adult. Since it was raining that day it was nice to be able to do something that kept us dry. The ferry is beautifully restored and you learn so much about its history and how it came to rest there. There’s a few other out buildings that you can go through and a video to watch at the end.

We toured the SS Moyie and learned a lot from all the documented information and on the ship itself. Well worth the time to take the tour!

We were in the area and decided to stop in to see the SS Moyie. At first I was not sure the cost would be worth it, but in the end this was fun for everyone. The tour is self guided and children can participate in a scavenger hunt. The boat is restored nicely and has multiple levels you can explore. Definitely a fun museum to investigate and we enjoyed ourselves. It was worth the price of admission.

The Moyie has been carefully restored as a "museum" that was an authentic period paddlewheel boat. It captures a brief time in history when paddlewheelers and trains connected in the New World. The artifacts aboard give a real sense of what life was like in the early days.

Self guided tour for $12, and highly recommended. The SS Moyie is an early 20th century paddle wheeler, beautiful restored to its CPR heyday. Give yourself at least an hour to really experience it all, and blow the whistle up top. Good historical display in the neighbouring building as well. Good stop for both ship and railway buffs.

Going back in time! Well preserved and very interesting. There is a video at the end of the visit that shows the SS Moyie on the lake and all restorations
