“The Friendly Resort”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

My wife and I have just returned from a week at the Naviti. This was our 3rd stay at this Resort, albeit spread over a number of years.
The Resort is not luxurious, but very comfortable. The rooms are spacious and clean, with the big selling point being the genuine friendliness of the staff and high level of service they provide. They make you feel very welcome.
We took the All Inclusive Package which covered buffet meals, or limited a la carte, plus drinks. The meals were satisfactory, with a wide choice at the breakfast, lunch & dinner buffets.
The Resort also offers a Chinese Restaurant and what is described as fine dining at the Talei Restaurant; they are not included in the All Inclusive Package.
Night activities are limited, but that is not a criticism. The Resort may not appeal to those who wish to party the night away but, conversely, it does appeal to those who don't wish to be subjected to disco music into the early hours.
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable week and will return.

To our future guests, i would like to correct Jeff j's comments on the Bamboo and Talei restaurants, please note that All Inclusive guests can dine at either of these restaurants on a set menu for each restaurant and on the normal menus our All Inclusive guests are entitled to 25% off on any menu item.
Jeff j, thank you once again, and we really do hope that you will return for the fourth time to your family and home here in Fiji, the Naviti Resort.

We have just return from a week at the Naviti and couldn't speak highly enough of our experience. It's not the flashiest resort, but the staff certainly make up for this. We opted for the 'all inclusive' option which was excellent value for money. There is always plenty to do, or you can just lie on a pool lounge and do nothing - the choice is yours. The kids loved the activities - bike riding, snorkelling, tennis, games, kayaking etc. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, and the food was great - again the choice of buffet or dining in the Talei or Bamboo Terrace. The staff really are the Naviti's best asset - Ima made sure we were looked after every evening and not short of a drink; Joe was a favorite with the kids at the Activity desk along with Noah, Bill & Koto; Jesse & Ruth at Kids Club - and the many more that made our holiday memorable (sorry I can't remember everyone's name, but everyone was fantastic). We are already planning our next visit - the only thing we would do differently is stay longer!!!!

Room Tip: Room in the Nadi Wing are closer to the amenities and pool and would be the best option if you had c...

We stayed six nights at the Naviti. We thought it was good value for money. Not the flashiest resort but good for families. We did the Sigatoka River Safari which we highly recommend. Excellent Jet Boat ride with cultural village tour including lunch. One of the highlights of the holiday was stumbling across an amazing young singer named Joe who performs each night at the Talei restaurant. Oh my gosh if you have ever heard a better singer in a restaurant anywhere in the world then tell me about. Such an angelic and pitch perfect voice. If he had a CD I would have bought 10! He sang Unchained Melody better than the Righteous Brothers and he sang When I Was Your Man better than Bruno Mars. And quite unbelievably he plays a right handed guitar upside down. So he looks left handed, but the strings are still strung right handed. I am guessing the guitar was a hand me down and somehow he just learnt that way rather than re-stringing the guitar for a left hand player. Anyway I could listen to him for hours and hours! If you enjoy a beautiful singing voice make sure you go the Talei. The Bamboo Terrace restaurant was also very good as well - Chinese cuisine. The Warwick is a bit more upmarket by the looks of our visit. Regards Ash.

We have just returned from our 2nd stay at the Naviti -it was so much fun to get involved in the activities - Tip - play the 3pm volleyball game each day and all the other players will feel like family in no time( Hi guys - saw all your reviews as well ) - thanks to Bill's humour - " It's a final " -"put yours hands up - now you are qualified " What are you doing ? - it's a final ( Fiji - rules )We also had fun attempting archery and coconut bowling. The rest of the time we ate at the wonderful buffets , lazed by the pool with a cocktail or two - lazed in the hammock - a bit of shopping / hair braiding etc at the village shops. Weather was warm with a gentle breeze. Ahhh what a life - we'll be back in a couple of years

Room Tip: Any really - you wont need to spend much time there - just to sleep - to much fun and relaxation to...

We would definitely return to the Naviti Resort, staff were just wonderful, excellent with the kids and fantastic to deal with. The food was great, we had an all inclusive deal and would certainly do the same again. Next time will have to stay longer, this trip included snorkelling behind a boat with a glass bottom for those that didn't want to get in the water, fishing trip on the reef on a boat for the kids, kids club, lots of night time entertainment, the pool bar was an absolute hit. Volleyball in and out of the pool. There is lots to do or you can just sit and relax while taking in the beautiful views.
It is a bit of a drive from the airport so would be a good idea to have something for the kids to do while on the road.

My husband and I have just returned from the Naviti, we have had an wonderfull time. The staff were so polite and nothing was to much trouble ,breakfast catered for all and if you didn't wish to have the buffet lunch or dinner the 2 restaurants were of the highest quality . This is a resort that caters for all ages, that I would not hesitate to recommend to all.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor corner room, the large double doors opened to beautiful lawns and gardens.

This is our 6th visit to Fiji. We have stayed at Denerau, Various Islands, and Shangria, and been to Rarotonga 3 times as well. I've found that its hard to judge peoples reviews, without knowing what they have paid to book places, as there are so many different price variations these days, and no one mentions what they have paid in their reviews. I think this can sometimes taint reviews if expectations of a resort are high when the price they paid was high when booking. My advice is to plan ahead if possible and check out the web. We got a fantastic deal through Expedia, and were really happy with what we paid for accommodation. We didn't go for the all inclusive deal, we are not large people with large appetites, and found that with our breakfasts included in package, we were full until dinner, so didn't usually eat lunch, and if we did it was something light from the sister resort the Warwick who cater for light lunches, or appetisers. Our children aged 10 and 12 ate free which is fantastic as all the other resorts have a cut off of under 12. Great breakfast buffet. Meals are from $18 to $26 fijian, with some specialtity dishes being more, which is fantastic value compared to the resorts in Denerau and the Islands. The only expensive option is the buffet which is $65F if you are not on the all inclusive deal, so needless to say we didn't eat at it, however our children did for free! Drinks are $6F for a tap beer, and $12F for wine, local spirits only $7F I think? Generous pours. Cocktails $12 - hit and miss as to the quality but thats Fiji. Food was average - meat and fish on the Grill Bar Menu was overcooked which could be easily fixed so it was a shame. Chinese restaurant great value and nice dishes. Wish the lighting was a bit dimmer as it was very bright! Easily fixed. The resort is being freshened up, and new tiling is being done, but we felt it was a lovely well maintained resort with sprawling well kept gardens, nice ambience around the pool and the rooms were clean and well serviced. Staff were friendly and helpful. Fijians are lovely people. The shuttle to the Warwick was great, and allowed us to have full facilities at both resorts, with different menus - Warwick more sophisicated and varied, with light food and snacks. We actually prefered the rooms at the Naviti as they were more private and quiet. The Warwick rooms (if you have kids) open right onto the pool area, and they were smaller than ours. We had friends staying there so visited lots. The Warwick had an adults pool, with rooms that end, which would be great if you didn't have kids. Lovely beach, and full use of their kayaks, snorkels and paddle boards, all for free. The Naviti charged $15F for adults and $7.50 for kids to be towed around on a rope at the back of their boat in the channel, and the wind was often up so we missed out on that, but the Warwick was off the beach so fine. The Naviti beach was not really a beach, more of an estuary beach. You pay for what you get and the Warwick was more expensive, so make use of the shuttles (which I think are now free) and have a fantastic holiday! We used Rosies Shuttle from the airport, pre booked through expedia for $300 return for 3 adults and 1 child (our 12 year old is an adult for the shuttle). Good drivers, and airconditioned clean well kept shuttles. The trip is about 1 and 3.4 hours so when booking airfares be mindful. Take a warm cardigan or hoodie with you because the Coral Coast can get a bit mild at night especially if there is wind or rain. Its colder than Nadi and Denerau areas. There is a supermarket near the resort (turn left as you leave the gates) which is great value for extra juices, cans, and snacks for your rooms - especially for the kids as their drinks arent free. We started walking but a taxi picked us up and was $10F return so saved us a 15 minute walk each way.

Room Tip: We stayed on the third level 3/4 of the way along. Ocean view - which is actually just a hint of th...

Dear Brigid06,
Bula vinaka from the Coral Coast and Fiji. The entire team at the Naviti are happy to know that the whole family enjoyed their stay here and we thank you for your review.

It sounds like you made good use of all that was on offer and took advantage of the shuttle across to our sister property the Warwick Fiji. We are blessed with having the Warwick only 15minutes away and as mentioned the shuttles between the two resorts is now free. At the end of the day Naviti guest is a Warwick guest and vice versa, all our guests enjoy the best of both resorts.
To top this off, we have a charge back system between the resorts, should you come by any facility or service charges all you have to do is give your room number and sign off and this will be automatically charged to your room account here at the Naviti or Warwick.

Brigid06, thank you once again for your review and for choosing the Naviti as your holiday destination. We hope that we will get the honor of welcoming the family back to Fiji and the Naviti in the not too distant future.

Vinaka,
