My husband and I stayed at Naviti for a week in May 2013. We had a fabulous time and were very impressed with the resort. The all inclusive is a very good value. I am 100% gluten free and had no trouble during the week. They had gf breads at breakfast, the lunch menu can accommodate gf and the chefs that work at the dinner buffet are very knowledgeable and helpful. The 2012 fire destroyed most of the restaurants so you have less options for meals but the food is good. We didn't miss the extras bars or food options.

The people that work at the tour desk are super friendly and can give you great suggestions on what tours to do. There are a lot of activities that you can do like kayaking, snorkeling, table tennis, etc. and most are included if you do the all inclusive package.

There are a lot of families at this resort but we didn't mind it. You can stay away from them pretty easily if you want to.

Overall, this is a great place to stay and we recommend it.

We have visited resorts on the Coral Coast of Fiji before, Rydges Hideaway, The Warwick and some 12 years ago, Naviti Resort, and every time the transport from Nadi has been by different means. Private car usually, or by bus. This time it was a standard type very uncomfortable shuttle that ignored any past references to a 60 minute journey and took an interminable 2 hours 40 minutes to arrive at Naviti in pitch darkness.

My partner being partially disabled the wheelchair provided was apparently not suitable to get us to the studio villa we had rented, so a shuttle van was again called.

But come the morning all became much clearer. Since the devastating fire in November last a great deal of rebuilding has taken place – with much still to be done – and the present layout is somewhat scattered. From the villas it is quite a hike back to reception, and to the main buffet restaurant (The Bamboo) behind the golf course, even more so. Neither of these is easily accessible by wheelchair, although every porter has his own theory of the best route. Meanwhile what appeared to be a new main restaurant is being built along the sea-front, which will replace the three temporary pavilion type buildings. I assume – because information is not easily forthcoming.

When we requested a studio villa with a sea view we were expecting a rear position with a partial view. In fact our villa was directly facing the sea, and only a few metres from the beach. Fantastic views.. The villas are in pairs, with each pair a one-bedroom unit attached to a studio. There is a two metre gap between, so no chance of noise. There are four such pairs along the sea front, and four more behind. Our villa was 702. Other good choices would be 704 and 706, which would be slightly away from any noise from the pool, but still with great views. I’m surprised that Naviti does not publisise this more.

Our villa had a full length verandah with two easy chairs and a sun lounger. Very spacious inside with plenty of storage, good controllable lighting, excellent king-size bed. Another breakfast prep/storage area behind a dividing wall, then the bathroom/shower. Unfortunately some of this area is equipped with New Zealand made sanitary hardware, which is all to do with appearance and nothing to do with practicality. Trying to shave or to wash hair? Forget it. As for hot water – the term is purely relative in Fiji.. After 2 days I did mention the problem (and I hesitate to report hotel problems because the cure is usually more trouble than it’s worth. I usually leave it until we leave) and a plumber arrived, spent 30 minutes with the power off, said it was OK now, but wait 4 – 5 minutes with the water running. Yeah, right. Water never rose about 35C. And if their water is heated by electric demand elements, that would be so grossly inefficient – with all that sun around?

The air-conditioning was so-so. A ceiling mounted evaporator unit that struggled to push the temp down. I set 18C and achieved 23-24C and the constant buzz from the compressor required earplugs for sleep. Well overdue for a service I would say

A few points to note. The promised welcome bottle of sparkling wine and fruit bowl was not there and took four reminders to arrive, and when it did it was dry red wine.

A further order for bi-daily deliveries of fruit also never arrived.

The daily service of our villa was exceptional.

The daily entertainment I’m sure was excellent, but due to circumstances we were unable to take part, but I have to say the management policy on excess noise is first class. Our sleep was never disturbed.

Quite obviously, the best way to enjoy Naviti is with their all-inclusive food and drink option. The wines and spirits supply has become far more sophisticated, with quite reasonable Australian wines and intelligent wine waiter service. The food, both a la carte and buffet is exceptional. We were there for 9 days, but never felt that the meals were repetitive. The only thing I wished for was perhaps some cream or custard with the dessert! But who could complain with prawns and oysters on the menu?

The staff. Now these people are quite exceptional. And I really mean that, across the board. Their ‘Bula’ is absolutely genuine, and they are there with a smile at every opportunity.

My really special thanks for his outstanding help to Duty Manager Saki. Saki, you went way out of your way to assist us. I will not forget you.

So that’s Naviti. Go there. Make a few minor adjustments. Enjoy!

Our first overseas holiday we ventured to Fiji and stayed at the Naviti in March 2011. We had an all inclusive deal for 7 days and stayed in a beautiful ocean view room in the suva wing. We absolutely feel in love with the place, the people and met some great friends along the way. We were talking about returning the moment we left.
We re booked and paid to return back in May this year and took our 19 year old daughter with us. Only a few weeks after there was the terrible fire. We were very hesitant as to what the resort was left with.
Although the resort is missing 3 restaurants they now have a beautiful pool grill and al carte which is gorgeous to sit at for all meals and just take in the ocean views. The bamboo Terrace currently used for buffet meals is also great. The staff are just the best people and the service is awesome as always. It was wonderful to be served at the bar by Bill once again and also fantastic to play final volleyball in the pool every day with Bill on Fiji rules and runs on Fiji time. :)
The staff at Naviti are very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed 10 days this time on an all inclusive deal (which we just are a big fan of) and makes your stay stress free.
We are in discussion for our next years holiday and it will be back at Naviti for another much relaxed and stress free holiday.

If you are a regular visitor it is just like a family reunion on return and for the new recruits we took this year it was not long before they were part of the family. If anything the meals were better than ever the staff can't do enough for you. They love the children. I have been to a few different Countries and have not yet stayed in a friendlier Resort.Keep up the great work guyes.

This is our third Fiji adventure, first time at the Naviti, last time we stayed at the Outrigger. First of all, this resort is definitely geared for families with young ones, we are two gay guys. The Fijian hospitality and the love of children is legendary. Basically, you get what you pay for, the 'all inclusive'' is well worth the price. Once the renovations are complete, I would expect that the breakfast buffet would be improved. Yes, heating should be maintained at the appropriate level, particularly with chicken dishes. Eating out can be expensive, though I would recommend the ECO Café, be adventurous and walk out to the main road a catch a bus, $1. FJ., otherwise someone will stop for you, forget the Indian taxi drivers, they will rip you off, otherwise it shouldn't cost you more than $2 or 3. FJ. Pick up some duty free wine, otherwise it will cost you an arm an a leg, believe me. This resort is magic, but there should a drinking area strictly for adults, no little ones allowed, I don't like drinking around young people. We were treated very special, though my partner got a bit pie eyed, the male staff would discreetly make sure that he got back to our room, safe and sound and quietly came back to check to see if he was OK. God love Fiji. We are ole farts, so maybe we might try the Warwick next time, more expensive, but not so many of the 'little darlings'.

Room Tip: Think that they all look good, though we took a room to the far right once you enter, overlooking th...

We arrived home from our Honeymoon at the Naviti just a day ago and already we are planning a return trip. Nothing is too much trouble for Naviti staff and they made us feel like family. We arrived late for lunch after a tour and staff rustled us up some chicken burgers without a second thought. We were caught in the rain in Sigatoka waiting for a bus back to the resort and suddenly there was Saki calling our names from the Staff bus offering us a lift with the Naviti team. The all inclusive package is well worth it as was the private candlelit dinner on the beach. I heard others complain that they grew tired of the food but over 7 nights we chose a different menu each time and were never disappointed with the variety on offer. I am a resort manager in Australia and so I expect a lot from staff in terms of customer service and I was never disappointed. They always knew what drinks we liked at different times of the day, which room we were staying in, what our plans were for the following day etc and we are already missing the warm greetings we received from everyone no matter how busy they were. The Villa we stayed in was just magical- perfect for a honeymoon couple being private but still close enough to the facilities that you never felt forgotten about. There was the odd creaking door or squeaky floorboard but this was really nothing in comparison to the attentive Housekeeping service and beautifully kept grounds. We were made to feel special during our whole stay and we would highly recommend the Naviti to others looking for both value and service.

Room Tip: Villas are ideal for couples looking for romance.

I took my two children (2yrs and 9months) to the Naviti Resort in May 2013. It was the best holiday we have ever had. The staff were more than friendly, they were like family...nothing was too much trouble (they made fresh vegies and soup for my 9month old each day). We stayed 7 nights and wanted to stay longer. We love you; Rajesh, Lai, Wendy, Lashini and all of the other staff we just can't remember! The food was amazing, the drinks were fabulous (love those cocktails), the entertainment was spectacular, my boys loved your ice-creams and sorbets, and the rooms always cleaned and just gorgeous...THANKYOU NAVITI RESORT - we have found our second home x
