2nd time in 2 years I have been back and loved it even more this time. Yes it is Fiji and anyone who wants billion dollar things for your buck, Fiji is just not for you. Who cares if your drink is slow, which ours never were, or the pool bar isn't open on some days, because it was raining, who cares. Aren't you on holidays ??? The staff should be comended on their work not critisied as they only earn approx $4 FJD an hour, and I know that personally. Now for the good parts...always do the all inclusive, especially if you like a drink and have kids that want soft drinks all day. Cocktails are cheap and very strong, approx $9 AUD. Chinese rest and al la carte rest are great, and the choice on the all inclusive at these rest are still superb without having to pay extra. Buffet can get a touch boring, but my kids loved it everyday. You can still get a al la carte breakie and lunch at no extra cost, which my hubby and I prefered. Hair braiding, massages, nail painting is excellent, which you should go to the huts on the beach...blue or pink, although I am partial to the pink hut as they are my friends from the villiage next door, which we have the priviledge of being able to visit their homes without an invite. The villiage tour is great way to see how they live without having to go far from the resort and costs about $20 FJD. They can also take you snorkeling, or waterfall tour and a must is the hot springs. These tours are all within minutes from the resort, and leave from the villiage. These tours do not need to be booked thru the tour desk as the hotel takes a cut too, so it is dearer. If you need to book anything as mentioned go to the ladies in the pink hut and they will set it up for you. They also include horse riding too, so if you dont want to venture to far and give up your whole day this is the way to go. Snorkeling is great from the resort but the better snorkeling is further down near the villiage with my friend Moses. Ask for him personally and he will do any tour you want. Just tell him his Aussie family recommended him. I will be back again early next year as these people are the friendliest you will ever be fortunate to meet........Vinaka vakalevu...thank you very much

We stayed 10 nights just recently as a first family holiday since our second child arrived. Not much really went right, but very little went terribly wrong as well. Some issues that arose included:
- BED BUGS! One of us is covered in bites. We requested a room change and a new room was made available that day. Initially it was going to be available after 7pm (we reported the bed bugs before breakfast), but a further complaint saw a room made available early to mid-afternoon.
- we arrived late (between 8 and 9pm), to find our room not fully made up (no towels) and with an extra single bed when we had emailed and asked for a cot for our six month old.
- at least three times our room was not made up. No biggy in the big scheme, but when we have had been out all day it would have been nice to have returned to a serviced room. Often the room was made up late in the day too, which was annoying at times if the kids were sleeping.
- kids club is very poor IMHO. Staff to children ratios are poor and activities are not well structured and/or inappropriate.
- food is fresh and plentiful, but monotonous. One guidebook I read during the holiday suggested that breakfast was the best meal of the day, and I have to agree.
- all-inclusive is not all-inclusive. Just beware that you will be putting your hand in your pocket for some things that you might otherwise have thought you would (e.g coffee, tennis).
- some activities are poorly run as well, in particular the guided snorkeling, which involved holding on to a rope and being dragged along by a relatively fast moving boat. Hmmm.
- staff are friendly, but not necessarily helpful. (e.g. pool bar was shut during the day due to poor weather so I went to the main bar for a few drinks. When I told them I was drinking them at the pool they said they could not serve me because no glass was allowed at the pool).
- maybe it was bad luck, but a fair slice of the clientele seemed to be the drink at the pool bar all day type while letting the kids run free.
- service is slow for most things. I am on holiday so I can be on Fiji time, but I don't want to spend that time waiting for a drink.

Some positives:
- staff are friendly. Our kids got a lot of love and we were treated well.
- lovely grounds and gardens.
- babysitters are good.

All in all I think a rating of 2/5 is fair. The places loses a point immediately for bed bugs, so it gets 2/4 for everything else. Thing is, if the bed bugs didn't exist the place would still get 2/5 - it doesn't deserve 1/5 but I definitely can't mark it 3/5 or higher under any circumstances.

Room Tip: Renovated rooms are slightly more comfortable. Ground floor preferable if you have children.

The resort was clean, friendly and relaxed. My husband and I stayed there for 10 nights with our 8 year old and loved every minute. The staff and food were excellent and we loved the laid back style. We did a few trips outside of the resort as well as used the kids club, snorkelling, kayaking, paddleboats and pool. A lot of the other guests were Australian and everyone is so friendly, no hurry, on Fiji time. The only problem (if you can call it that) was a lack of towels but we usually got them when we needed them and it made for an interesting talking point at happy hour. Don't use the hotel 'Joy Spa', go see the ladies at the blue hut instead, they will fix you up. Totally recommend it as a family holiday, we will see you there next year!!

Room Tip: We were in the 600 block, close to the village and loved it.

My son (12 yr) and i stayed there in late July and after reading some reviews was not to keen on staying.
The resort is great,WE had no problems while we were there, people are friendly(like it should be anywhere, they treat you how you treat them)our room was in the older section,no problems there, food was fine, remember if you want lobster and caviar, pay the extra and stay elsewhere.
There are plenty of choices of what you can have to eat.
The bamboo terrace restaurant is great, couple of geckos on the ceiling adds to the decor and try not to stand on to many frogs/toads on the way there.
We had no dramas with waiting for drinks from the bar or restaurants, probably 10 mins was the longest we had to wait.
A couple of people pi#!ed and moaned, but get over it,your not the only guest there.
Once our drink order was forgotten, thats fine,i'm still alive.big deal.
And Fiji time is Fiji time,so if you want everything to run to the minute, don't go.
All up we had a great time and would happily go back.
We had no problems with what other guest have written, not saying they didn't happen,we just never encountered them.

Just back from Naviti. We travelled with my six years old son. We took the taxi from airport. There was a list of taxi fare for most of the resorts and you could ask the taxi driver to show you. The driver also wanted some tips too. We stayed five nights in rthe esort. The resort was big. On my arrival day, there was a wedding banquet too. There were a lot of familes from Australia and New Zealand.

For the accomodation, we stayed in ocean view. The room is big and clean. There was a separated area for shower.

We didn't choose all inclusive package as we did not eat a lot. For breakfast, there was a wide variety of choices. We usually had lunch at Nukunuku Restaurant and dinner at Wasawasa Restaurant or Bamboo Restaurant which serves Chinese dishes. We found that Bamboo restaurant was very good. We ate crabs there which were delicious. The cooking styles were similar to HK. The prices for crab were relatively cheaper than HK .You have to book a table for Bamboo restaurant.

For lesiure, there was a lagoon. You could do snorkelling, kayaking for free... The water was calm inside lagoon. I took my son to kayak too and they provided kid size life jacket too. For the pool, the pool is large. Unforunately, the weather was not so good during our stay, 3 out of 5 days were either cloudy or rainy. The pool water wasvery cold and colder than sea.

The staff in the resort were friendly. They were willing to answer your questions. On the last day which had showers for the whole morning and afternoon, we walked around the resort. We met the manager on the corridor and we had a nice chat too. She also introduced us some places for sightseeing too. We got a voucher for dinner afterwards which was a surprise to us.

As a whole, we were satisfied with the sservice in tthis resort and our family enjoyed out stay there.

There are lots of activities to do during the day and various day trips you can take as well. The food was delicious, well priced and plentiful. Naviti was full to capacity so around 1500 people plus a few hundred staff. It was busy and noisy but a couple of the restaurants were lovely and peaceful. The all inclusive deal is great for families but you are restricted to certain meals otherwise you have to pay extra. We had a really good time at Naviti and the wedding co-ordinator Nunia, was just lovely. She made everything about the wedding so easy. Nothing was a problem and she always greeted us with a smile and really made us feel like we were special even though we know she organises hundreds of weddings! We look forward to going back and catching up with Nunia in the future.
The service was pretty good on a personal level. The staff are always friendly and smiling but you usually have to hassle them repeatedly to get what you asked for. We were there for 4 days before we finally got pool towels. Somedays we would get face cloths delivered wtih our bath towels and sometimes we got handtowels but we never got everything at once. It did become a bit frustrating but like I said they were always friendly and super nice.
