“You Must Visit Beachouse”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2012

I have been travelling to Fiji for 10 Years now and the one thing I always recommend to travellers I meet is to experience Beachouse, located on the beautiful Coral Coast. The atmosphere is relaxed and always happy, which makes it easy to really enjoy your time there. Facilities are clean, beds comfortable and food fantastic. The staff are chilled and very helpful and the owners are just like friends you've known for ages!
Honestly the best budget accomodation stay in Fiji.

Thank You / Bula Vinaka Beachouse!!

My sweetie and I stayed here our first three nights in Fiji and we were very impressed! For a backpacker (hostel), your dollar goes a long way here! We loved every minute! It's a bit of a trek from Nadi (2+ hours by public bus) but worth it. The nicest thing about staying here is that you don't need to go anywhere or spend much money to have a full range of experiences- you can borrow their kayaks & paddle around their lovely little bay, go for a swim, eat great food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, enjoy fantastic tropical cocktails, hike, swim, lounge in hammocks, etc.

What you don't get here is luxury- the reception area is a litte run down, the guide leading the hike clearly loves Christianity, the hike was very muddy, the music is a bit loud for the "older" crowd (can't believe that's actually me), and a little mouse (I'm sure it was cute!) ate my chocolate in the room and left little presents on our sheets. So- be flexible and willing to ignore a few things and you'll have a great time! You are in nature after all!

Oh- and did I mention free Wifi?!

For a backpackers this place is pretty special. Stayed five nights and really loved it. Beautiful location and the staff and regulars were so friendly which made this a very enjoyable stay, Stayed in one of the garden rooms with ensuite. The outdoor shower is fab. Room very clean. Meals are around $15 Fiji which compared to resort prices is very cheap, food quality what you would expect from a backpackers for that price, nothing more. A couple of things would of made it perfect - the foam mattress was not very comfortable, woke up with sore back most mornings.. We picked the beachouse because it one of the few places with a kitchen however the kitchen is not in great shape, its not pleasant to cook in, and reluctant to store food i the fridge. The TV room is also a bit run down too but as the rest of the place is so lovely there was no reason to watch TV. Would happily stay again.

We came to Beachouse after many good reviews from fellow backpackers. Initially thinking that the words 'Backpacker' and 'Resort' used in the same breath were an oxymoron, Beachouse proved me wrong. It turned out to be a very affordable resort set on a beautiful beach complete with swing and hammocks. The food was great (a little expensive if eating here everyday) and every day I would countdown to the 'Afternoon Tea' of complimentary scones and tea/coffee. The staff lived up to the Fijian reputation for friendliness and there were great activities on offer including (complimentary) coconut jewellery making and palm weaving. The rooms are very well kept and spotlessly clean. We had a double room with shared bathroom and the water was always hot. The buses and minibuses all pass the entrance regularly so it is easy to take a day trip to Suva or elsewhere. There's a real family feel to the resort and we made some good friends here. After about 2weeks here we were very sad to leave. I can't say enough good things about Beachouse, go there!!

This place is amazing! I got a fantastic welcome when I rocked up with my backpack, the bus I travelled on tooted it's horn and the staff appeared out of the darkness to help. I stayed here for three weeks (I was supposed to move on but why mess with perfection). The place was cheap, clean and the staff were very helpful and really welcoming. There were lots of stuff to be done everyday from coconut bowling to paddle boarding. I made some fantastic friends here and would dearly love to return. You guys got room for a small one?

We stayed here for only 2 nights but wish we'd stayed longer rather then heading to the busy tourist resorts in Nadi. Our private garden double was clean and comfortable, I had a great hot shower and couple of cold ones too! We brought our own food from the local market to cook (which saves you a heap of money) however the kitchen was disgusting the worse I've seen, not many people were using it, it had only the basics for cooking unfortunately. Apart from the kitchen enjoyed the surf, and activities they had on offer and lovely beach hammocks.
