After a short drive into the town centre we found many of the local restaurants were closed on a Monday. We grabbed a coffee and the staff recommended Dolcenero.
We were not disappointed. We were greeted by friendly staff and the chef. Seated quickly and perused the menu. In the end we decided on the frico with polenta and 36 month prosciutto for starters. And prosciutto and ruby trout spaghetti. All were absolutely delicious. The prosciutto was served at perfect temperature and were the perfect balance of flavours.
The chef stopped by to speak with us and it is obvious he is very passionate about his food. Everything from the ingredients to the wines on the menu are from the local region. They produce their own prosciutto and even the breadsticks were delicious. Made water which flows from local mountain streams the breadsticks were not greasy or oily.
Highly recommend this restaurant if you want to have the tastiest prosciutto!!
