Small island and small town you can travel all around in one day. There're many nice places for photo shooting.

“Only just arrived”
Reviewed March 14, 2013 via mobile

So I will review again when we leave next week. This is a slice of real Thai life, the island is beautiful - what we have seen of it so far. The boat trip from Si Racha to here is an experience! It takes 45 minutes and it's a bit choppy to say the least. Charlies bungalows is absolutely fantastic and wevthoroughly recommend staying here. The beach restaurant with the pink table clothes serves excellent food and there are a few ladies doing massage I am having a lady called Pron who looks like she knows exactly what she's doing. A tuk tuk costs us 100 baht each way

“one of the last unspoilt places in Thailand”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

wow what a great find this island is, its Thailand the way it should be, a sleepy little island with no high rise hotels, a great place to get your blood pressure down, no cars make it safe and fun to get around, some very nice bungalows for rent just 2-3 minutes from the harbour, the island has one nice beach good for swimming that has cheap resturants. on the down side there is quite alot of plastic etc in the water mainly washed down from Bangkok.

“Slow and dreamy don't go on a Wednesday”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

The Island seems to be asleep most of the day and night (which is very nice) the sights are all OK but there is not much to see at the palace site, the only restaurant that we could find open on the Wednesday night was a seafood restaurant in the town which was on the shore side of the main street just across the road from the Ko Si Chang Palace Hotel it was fine I had squid to start and it was very nice the rest of the meal was passable, the crossing on the ferry was very pleasant and the ferry left dead on time both ways (on the hour)

“Not many western tourists!”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

Ko Si Chan is a small island just offshore from Si Racha.
It's about a 40 min ferry ride to the island from the public pier (plenty of eating opportunities here). The small town of Si Racha is nothing special but basically devoid of western tourists.
You can charter a powerful tuk tuk unique to the island. Basically a car engine mounted on a type of tuk tuk. Perfectly safe and good fun. Driver will give you a tour of the island and wait for you at various points of interest for about 200baht.
A good day out if you're unfortunate enough to be stuck somewhere like Pattaya!
