Nice quiet island for a day trip, to visit a few cultural sites.

However the island is very, very dirty. You literrally can see trash everywhere, from the door of your room, to the beach, the water, to pretty much the entire island.

I do not recommend going there for this reason, as I don't like supporting the tourist activity of an island that is not taken care of by the locals.

A pity, really.

Really relaxing Island really close to Bangkok, most of the tourists here are Thai people from the mainland and its really crowded in the weekends. Also many tourists do a daytrip from Pattaya.
But we spent 12 days on the Island and stayed at tampang Beach bungalows.

The Island is really quiet but if you get to know the locals there are actually a few karaoke places that doesent close before about 1 in the night(everything else closes at 9 in the evening).

Also its really nice sightseeing on the Island, fishing, snorkling.

I am not sure how to describe this island. If I were not a resident of Thailand, I am not sure I would fly to southeast Asia to come to it, but as an expat, it's a great, inexpensive, non touristy place to relax for a day or two.

The ferry ride from Sri Racha is about 45 minutes and enjoyable. When you get there, there is a slew of inexpensive transportation, and you can get a 3 wheel motorcycle to haul up to 6 people around for only 250 Baht for the whole day. They take you to all the sights and you don't get hounded like you do at most tourist traps.

The beach is small. Really small. We rented motorcycles and drove to different sights. The Chinese temple in town is one of the best. From the top you can see a beautiful view of the harbor, and see all the way from Chonburi, to Sri Racha, and over to Pattya. Use the panorama option on your iPhone and it makes for a great picture.

The beach has good food. We like the grilled pork with sticky rice and couple bottles of coke. You can buy a decent snorkel set, or rent one and see some nice aquatic life.

Eat at Pan and David's when you're done. They have good Thai and western food.

Not a very nice island full of flies never seen so many they are every where the best bit was going to see the house of King 5 of Thailand which he used to come on holiday that was interesting but other than that not much else the views out to sea are spoilt by countless ships unloading or loading we have been to many islands in Thailand and this is one we will not return

This island is from Roy island in Sriracha. It is good for one day trip. There are some tourist attraction like chinese temple, musium and beach. Once you get there, tuk tuk drivers comes to negotiate the island tour. It is worth taking the tuk tuk. The price is not so expensive and the drivers know all places in the island.
