We went as a party of four and had a great time. Nice decor, big round tables so you feel like there is enough space. We had the set menu and felt that it was really very good value for money, the portions were a good size, and we were able to substitute a prawn dish. The only down side is lack of parking in the area.

The Peking Inn has recently changed hands and has a new look with new decor and comfy seats. Not suprisingly prices have increased to recover the costs of the update so the standard set menu is now £19 an increase of £1.50 on the previous price. Some comments have been made that infer the portion sizes have been reduced but I could not see any difference in the dishes we were served, if anything the quality of the food has been improved. We asked to substitute some different main course dishes to the ones specified and this was agreed with no fuss by the new owner Pam. The chicken and cashew nuts and the szechuan prawn were excellent. We went on a Friday evening and by 9:00 PM the place was almost full and also doing a good few take away orders. Overall the Peking Inn still offers good quality at reasonable prices for the Cookham area. Our bill was £62 for set menu A, two beers, a spritzer and coffee. A service charge of 12.5% is automatically added to the bill. If you are looking for a quiet romantic venue then the Inn may not be an ideal choice as it can be noisy especially later in the evening.

The high standard of food and service make this a very pleasurable experience. Nothing fancy in terms of decor, however the set menu takes some beating.

Had a great evening at The peking Inn last night. Excellent service, friendly & attentive staff, delicious food, reasonably priced. The decor was modern & we especially liked the fact that all the tables were round, which is something we personally like. Very comfy seating.
Pam, the owner was delightful & we will definitely be returning!

We last went to the Peking Inn 14 years ago and loved it then but after all these years we were uncertain how good it would be now. We read the Tripadvisor reviews and were expecting to be a bit disappointed as the reviews weren't exactly gushing. In the end, despite our uncertainties, we had a great evening. The restaurant was very busy but the staff handled everyone well, with smiles and good humour. We had a set menu of mixed starters, duck, various main dishes, toffee apple/bananas and coffee, great value for £25 per head. As the restaurant was full to capacity we did have to wait quite a long time between courses but the meal was substantial so it gave us breathing time between courses. All in all we came out very happy after a delicious meal in a lively restaurant. We'll certainly be back soon.
